Hit the water waaaaaay before sunrise again with my buddy Austin and we were looking for better redfish spots for the upcoming micelli's madness fishing tournament. Which we just got word the night before heading out for this trip that the tournament was going to be rescheduled for another part of the month. Giving us time to search for better opportunities in the water. Found lots of little snook lost a larger snook due to leader fray. Had a trout and found my red! Hit the water waaaaaay before sunrise ( 5:20am sunrise is 7:15am) with my friends Austin and @fishindips to do some post hurricane fishing and to see what we could find. @@johnmoore3504 I normally fish in the Matlacha pass. And it's been hit or miss out there. You got to find where there's flow you'll find cleaner water. Last year I jumped two tarpon and this year I've jumped 12 and lost each one.. This one was coming in! Thanks for watching! 🎣🚣♂️🤙🏻

Nice day! Water has been so dirty, plus all the floating mat grass..... Is that grass normal, or a weird algae bloom?
@@dhdh71 it's a moss like plant that grows on the bottom. When we get freshwater releases or heavy rains the dark water choke the light causing the plant to die and start to break up and float.. Happens every year unfortunately. Thanks for watching! 🎣🚣♂️🤙🏻

@@FL_Native_68 any of the docks there should hold some mangrove snapper but sheepshead have pretty much moved off shore to cooler waters. Lots of reds and snook around there too! 🎣🚣♂️🤙🏻
