Vexing Bauble would counter lotus petal which is needed for that play. Floating Sneak Attack into play might have been correct anyway, but playing the One Ring seems strong as well.

I am definitely paying attention to that slot. I think likely a split is correct when playing two copies. I don't enjoy sorcery speed, and I don't enjoy taxing my yard anymore. Maybe 1 go, 1 shoot?

@@ecobaronenMTG Yeah, that could work - although I personally tend to prefer a second Borrower in place of the second "Doom Blade". I recently swore off Go for the Throat after playing the worst tournament of my life, being matched against UW Stiflenought in the last round, keeping a hand because "I can remove a Dreadnought", only to realise later in the game that Go for the Throat does, in fact, not kill a Phyrexian Dreadnought. It was rough when it happened, but looking back, it was pretty funny.

Indeed, neither of those removal spells are perfect between Dreads, Painters, Bombardier, Voidwalker etc. :D

Sounds reasonable. I think my biggest concern is spending 4 mana to kill Murktide and various three drops

I like Atraxa a lot at setting up the next reanimation. Also, Archon can play better from behind with instant lifegain and killing a creature. I don't know which I favor, but threat of Karakas and Pyroblast certainly makes me go for Archon more often, ie against Painter, monoW, grixis "delver" etc. I think it even happened in this one, but not sure. Archon getting plowed after drawing and discarding only 1 card is quite bad

100%. I didn't prioritize it because I expected my opponent to be heavy on the creature plan. What would you suggest I cut for it in sideboarding?

@@ecobaronenMTG that was the right call for sure! Not sure! Barrowgoyf is such a powerful card in the sideboard. Not sure for that matchup. I don’t know!

Fair play. It's super tough, but off the top of my head I would guess that +80% go for a midrange approach after SB to dodge narrow hate like negations, consigns etc., but who knows. I'll ask my Doomsday buddy nevilshute :D

yeah, it was quite "obvious" and obviously wouldn't work on the PT. I basically had to convince my opponent that I played poorly. You gotta play the opponent in front of you

Great question. I think that card is both embarrasing and just what the doctor ordered at the same time. Post SB, games can get super scrappy when we trade resources and games go long. Even one hit with that card is huge in those games. It's basically "Murktide" that doesn't need all of the graveyard. I like it the most in UB Reanimator. I have no idea about Grixis vs Dimir - I'm trying to figure it out!

Great call, 100% agree! I have done it before, but I guess this was too stressful to think about it :)

So far access to basic lands in UB Tempo has been more valuable than the red cards (DRC, Bolt, Pyro, Meltdown) in Grixis. In prior formats I always appreciated the Delver+Bolt angle to kill the slower decks like Lands, but now Tamiyo just plays that role so much better mostly ignoring the need for traditional combat. Every removal spell in the deck needs to kill Frog. The format is definitely warping around it. The UB Reanimator shell is still super powerful, but has been poor into the dedicated UB or Grixis tempo decks in the long run.

Miracles with Brainsurge feels incredible. Brainsurge is so consistent at setting them up, and the much higher creature presence in Legacy lately makes Terminus extremely good. Lots of these decks aren't ready for a sweeper to get cast, and UW can run multiple sanctuaries to repeatedly Terminus them. Also, there's just something so sweet about winning off of Entreat the Angels or JTMS ult. Wrath of the Skies + Tune the Narrative are a sweet package for setting up off turn miracles and 2 mana sweepers that clear all the random rocks/sagas/constructs that appear. If you still crave Bowmasters and other black cards like me, I've won my locals 4 weeks in a row on Esper Miracles. Having Bowmasters in the main deck and all the assorted good black sideboard cards makes combo feel a lot more doable. Maybe I should just be playing frogs, but I love getting a little off the beaten path.

I'm super interested to see if Miracles can compete these days. I'll keep an eye out!!

I'll make sure to try out "all" Frog options sooner or later. It's yet to be decided what's superior!
