Commercial from 1990 when the Historic Homes (Victorian Village) was first offered for sale. The neighbors were asked to help in the commercials.
I wish this video was more about doctrine and less about stories to justify your views.
God's word is ambiguous and contradictory Uh... Literalism bad because violence Right People take verses out of context and ignore the full counsel of God therefore we shouldn't take the Bible literally. what? I'm surprised I still care and I love the Bible but I do. Yeah, me too. You're a kook. A wide latitude to be able to interpret, that's good! Indeed, you can do whatever you want, it's your own interpretation. Yes, I can see what you're about.
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
You do realize that the letter is referring to what is called the "Old" Testament. The "New" Testament hadn't even been assembled yet. Yet, the Old Testament was effectively "abolished" - Ephesians 2:15 Or are saying that because someone wrote this "this is inspired by God" it is?
@@fredkilby5535 What? None of what you said is making sense. Are you questioning scripture? Questioning this guys video? What?
@@fredkilby5535 I think I see what you are saying. This is difficult to answer quickly, but I'll do my best. "All scripture" I believe is referring to old testament (which is still truth, even if we are under a new covenant) and applicable to the believer today. As it is written, Christ did not come to abolish the law, but fullfill it, then the law would be written upon the hearts of his people. Therefore the inspired letters Paul is writing is also truth, and can still be held up to old testament promises and the truth of God revealed through his word.
So, therefore "all scripture is good for....everything referenced by Paul in that verse. See?
@@bryanfisher8377 if Christ did not come to abolish the law, then how do you reconcile the contradiction presented by Ephesians 2:15 which says "by abolishing in his flesh the law with it commandments and regulations."
Yeah, lets just call it what it is, heresy. He is guilty of the very thing he claims to condemn. This progressive Christianity is hypocrisy at its finest and the followers are intellectually and spiritually dead.
Wonderful explanation of the deep and changing meanings to be found in the Bible. This just makes my faith stronger and renews my interest in Bible History and theology, and Christian living in general. Literalism is very constricting and can often miss the deeper truth of a story or lesson. Thank you from a progressive Christian who believes in true freedom in Christ--freedom to love, to think for oneself, and to ask difficult questions.
