“The Nightmare” guitar rebuild begins!
YES. 😂😂🎉🎉❤😂😂
Don't listen to that guy. "Tone" talkers don't know what they're talking about. Fireflys are like Yamahas, I think. Big bang for the buck. Tone is a variable frequency dependent thing. Sound is what you hear. Wannabies talk "tone" because they don't have a clue of what they are saying. I think your sound is fine. 🤘
@@adamvigil8320 that’s all good! I thought tone came from the hands… or maybe it’s the wood… or the speakers? Guess it depends if you ask Jeff Beck, Paul Reed Smith, or Glenn Fry. Either way, I play what I like and I make it sound the way I like it. If you like it… cool! If not, that’s ok. You be you and be happy. Life is too short to dwell on things
That tone is horrible
Thanks! To each their own.
I love lespauls but I hate how week the head sticks are, Epiphones are just as good now
Epiphone are fantastic! Especially when they make fun finishes. Check out The Purple Sparkly beast. That thing is amazing. However, even my Gibson Melody Maker is special, but not all Gibsons are winners. You gotta love when you find the right one. The moment you feel it in your hands and hit that note you always do… BaM! That’s a beautiful thing and hope it happens over and over again and hope you have enough space and time to enjoy them!
My buddy bought his Jackson model 6 lava crackle at Not Just Guitars in Miami in 1989. He still has it mint in the chainsaw case. That Rhoads is a great guitar!! My son’s middle name is Rhoads and I have 2 Rhoads Jackson’s. I’m still searching for my second guitar. A Magnum Les Paul copy tobacco sunburst. Like Steve Clark’s guitar.
That is super cool! I remember the staff being great. This guy Tony who was the bass player in Death. My guitar teacher Mark V. Seymour Duncan even did an event there.
@@TuescaTales that’s cool!! Was it Tony Choy? He is a monster bassist!!!
@ yes! I once saw him rip across a 5 string bass while casually chatting. Super talented! I remember him telling me how he went from Death to Cruise Ships. Gotta pay the bills.
@ hahaha that is super cool! 🤘🏻
What a cool journey begins. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve got all the parts now! Time to get to work to finish.
@ Thanks for the update. How fun. Rock on!
I see you have a collection of fine guitars, Sir 👊👍
Thank you! These are mostly just passing through. I’ll be uploading videos of all my personal guitars soon. My first electric video will be up shortly.
just followed man!
Thank you! I appreciate the support. Lots of cool stuff on the way.
Most likely a Korean 80s p90 telecaster. That HAS to have a half bridge because of the p90 in the bridge. F logo tuners may fit. Just remember tuners are metric. So pegholes are different sized. This is probably like a greco or aria guitar? Made out of the Korean factory before they just started making them in Mexico later in the 90s
Amazing info! That’s so helpful. I’m going to cross reference that with the serial number. The pickups were absolutely upgraded and sound great! This is going to be sick once put together. Thanks for the help!
@TuescaTales matsumoku more then likely made
@ that’s interesting. I’m checking it out. I’m going to take a closer look at the potentiometers. They were tiny looking like Alpha pots. The wiring is that cheap and thin plasticky feeling wires. It feels like a solid build. It just needs some love and some upgrades!
I just watched through your posts and you’ve got such cool collections of different guitars! Kinda interested in how you started trading them or what got you into it
I’ve been playing for a long time and have always been a nerd. During COVID I discovered Amazon and RUclips and I started tinkering with my first electric guitar (which is a horrible stray copy). I also built a few kit guitars and started watching more RUclips. Then I took a leap of faith and bout a guitar with a cracked neck. I watched how to fix it and picked a guitar that wasn’t too hard to fix. I then started fixing others and flipping them and finding some great people in the SoCal community and have come across some great guitars and very talented players. Now I feel that I have momentum and I am having so much fun doing this. It makes me very happy that you are having a great time watching my videos. Stay tuned as I have a ton of content in the works… now I just need to find more time. Thanks again!
That guitar looks so cool, how did you find it?
This one I bought from a clearance house. It’s kind of a secret but not a secret… I am trying to prevent more competition. It’s a site that I go to that sells from a very reputable music retailer and they even have warranties and I can return if it is worse that I can handle.
From 20 bucks and dusty to riffin 👏
Thank you! It was fun making it. I can’t wait to share the photos of him when he gets it on Christmas. Stay posted!
lol I commented a minute ago wanting to see this👌
Wait until you see “the nightmare”. That’s the next refurb project. This one is going to be crazy!
Do you have any music out anywhere?
Not yet! I have to put my drumset together and make some room. Then I’m going to start uploading some songs.
It’ll be cool watching it go from a 20 dollar offer up guitar to something new
You read my mind!
It’d be really awesome to see some videos of you using spare parts to rebuild a guitar! I’d like to do it as a hobby but I have no clue what I’m doing
That’s even harder to do, but I will be on the hunt! Maybe we do something crazy like a stray body with a Flying V headstock?
*strat body with V headstock
I remember listening to this song on a cd in my mom’s car when I was little. First time I ever heard rock or distortion sound and I’ve been hooked on rock since. Slow ride is still one of my favorites to👌awesome song
Oh yeah! That’s a great road trip song. It also reminds me of that movie “Dazed and Confused”
🔥
Wait until you see the Purple Sparkly Beast!
Woah, I only started playing recently and I’ve never seen that I don’t even know what to call it? What’s the button?😂that’s sick
Those are killed Kill Switches. I recommend the Atari or San Wah? Style. Firefly @fireflyguitars has some great options at amazing prices!
Awesome set of guitars man. A treasure
@@Aza-em8ol thank you! It’s great fixing them and finding homes for them.
Extremely Cliffy! 🤘😤
Thank you! That’s humbling. I’m nowhere near that man’s shoelaces. I could maybe change the strings on his bass. That’s it. Thank you! Cliff was the man!
@TuescaTales he Absolutely was the man! You need to give yourself more credit though, bruh cuzz. You can certainly swing that heavy axe!
Cool, sounds like cliff Burton with the wah
Yeah! I love Cliff and Lemmy!
Is that coming out of that spark mini?
Oh yeah! I have a mini and a go. Best investment. Every guitar play needs a Spark by Positive Grid.
Hell yeah!
Thank you!
Is that a matching guitar or are those matching clothes? Filthy sound man, me like
pure comedy <3
You have always been funny.
