Просмотров 132День назад
Here’s how I back an embroidery hoop, using the blanket stitch method, and a piece of felt. There are a few other options that I mentioned at the beginning of this video as well. for a slower description of the running stitch, see my last video on the gingerbread hoop.

These two designs are from my Holiday Script stick and stitch pack! You simply peel and stick them to whatever you want to stitch and then stitch through them. The design paper dissolves with water when you’re finished! www.artbyaubreeren.com #embroidery #learnembroidery #embroidereverything #christmas #handembroidery

Unboxing The Pine Embroidery Stand by WSTANDS
What kind of needle are you using? Very cute idea! Love it!
Wow! ❤
It’s beautiful ❤
What is the name of the paper and where can I buy it?
It’s Sulky Fabri-Like Water Soluble Paper. You can find it online and I also sell it in my shop. 😊
So tht's what a blanket stitch looks like. I read about it in Little House on the Prairie, and wondered what it looked like. It gives your beautiful fancy work a clean and elegant finish. Very nice.
Really cute!!!
Cuuuute!! What a way for a person to get started!!!!!
So Beautiful!! Thank you!
I am so inspired by your tutorials! Thank you!❤
So adorable! I dont embroider but this video sure makes me wanna learn how
@@PerpetualJoy I have many tools to help! And lots of beginner tutorials 😀
That’s so cute!
@@natalie6061 thank you!! 😊
dang! That looks really great!!
@@thecrapartistx aww thanks so much!
but doesnt that use so much more thread compared to a satin?
I don’t see it making that much of a difference. 🙂
Love your work and vibes ❤
@@emansalam aww thank you!
Does the second one work on clothing as well or should I use a different knot
@@OtakuOfNeko yes. I use these all the time on clothing. 😊
This actually happened to a friend of mines dad.. they were never allowed to trick or treat for that reason. This isn’t funny.
Though your opinion matters, not everyone dealt with it. Understand to take a joke or move on.
What was that face at the end😭
Where is your leaf ring from?
@@Cherryblossom1973 I got it at a local art festival and the vendor said they came from Peru. I love unique rings!
I think this was a far better choice. It's also a lot more elegant IMO.
Are you selling the patterns?
@@chia701 yes! Coming very soon!
@@artbyaubreeren thank you
Whoa, I do this naturally. Great tip!!
Wonderful. Thank you
Good tip! I give my needle a little twist before each stitch to counteract the twists that are building up. That way I can go longer without having to let it dangle.
I dip them in warm water and hamg from my lamp. In half. When dry,I batch thread and keep them in a folded wax paper ready to go all straight.
ruclips.net/user/shorts_aReVWi1j-0?si=zI4Ieduu1OPDl08D
You're right that using a single thread won't stop the twisting - I exclusively do single threads when embroidering and the threads will always twist like that. Even when I'm just straight up sewing, the threads will twist like that. But it's okay because it's a lot of fun to just drop the whole needle and thread from the project and watch it spin spin spin. XD
I use to have to do this with my corded video game controllers!
😆 yup!
I learned the French knot and immediately loved it. So much that I did a negative outline of a name with various sizes of French knots as outline for the letters. So cute, and so so so so much work 😅
hey i love stitching but i don't know what the seperation is for exactly
So, embroidery thread is a 6-ply strand usually. Some things you can do with the entire strand, and some techniques need a thinner strand to work. Have you ever needed to make several stitches really close together and it makes like a hard lump where they meet? Separating the strands can reduce that
@@poisonedflowers that's genius! thank you so much for the reply, i had so many problems with that
Yup it really depends on the look you’re going for and how smooth you need it to look. Some people like the chunky look of all 6 strands but typically I use 3 for most of my designs and less for super detailed work. 😁
Thank you. I have some PDF patterns available on my website.
Beginner here. 🙋🏻♀️ I have learned so much in this 2 part pumpkin videos. I follow you on IG. Just subscribed here on YT. Thank you for this.
@@DollyRios-q8s awww thank you! So glad to hear that!!! Thanks for following along!
I do both as the threads when separated and put back together gives a smoother finish on the front, as they lay together better. It will still get twisted because of the way you sew. To fix this you needs to drop the needle as demonstrated.
I know some people swear by separating all the strands. 😁 I haven’t found it necessary myself, just prefer splitting the 6 equally. Everyone has their preference. 😆😁
This is really helpful! Thank you!
So glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
That's great advice thank you ❤
It is amazing just how quickly you find the right place without looking with some practice. It soon becomes second nature. I assume it is that your brain works out where your hand is relative to where you are looking. This is a good tip for people to try at the beginning.
Definitely! Your brain needs a little time to build synapses and deliver the correct message to your hands. But it does happen relatively quickly with practice! You’re right, becomes like second nature!
How many threads do you use 👀
I use different amounts for different areas. If you’d like to follow along you can find the pattern and guide on my Etsy site or website. www.artbyaubreeren.com
Oh v v nice and k. Kawish
Это приспособление продается в любом магазине для рукоделия
Yes it can be found easily at some craft stores, just letting people know what it is and how it works when they receive it in one of my kits. 🙂
Oh, this is awesome. I'm not new to embroidery, but this has long been a frustration for me.
Picks up scissors, sniffs them- "Someone cut here."
😆
K…. But you kind of just blew my mind. I never thought to put the hoop upside down to trace the pattern…. Maybe I’m the only one. 😅
The tender touch isn't available in my country, can I just use a fusible interfacing to cover my stitches? I'm planning to embroider my baby's clothes.
❤
Ok, it took me a few tries, but it worked, thank you. Trying to learn emergency sewing for my wifes scrubs. I have 3 hours to finish
I plan to do some bead embroidery on a shirt, should I iron the interfacing down to the inside first before stitching or after?
I would use some before just to decrease the stretch of the shirt and add stability. 😊
Thank you
As someone new to embroidery, this is so helpful! Thank you
Thank you so much ❤
Just some feedback: I dont think the beginning instructions were super clear on how/when we secure the first stitch to the hoop. I was pretty confused that you take your thread all the way through to the first knot you made. Part of this was probably because we only see the back of the hoop and the end. It would have helped to see it at the beginning too.
