It took me months to figure out what the hell these lower lights are used for. I know the clear lenses are the reverse lights and one of the red plates lights up for fog. What I didn’t know was these lights double for your running lights and break lights when your hatch is OPENED. I guess it’s a safety precaution when you’re open back hauling.

Top clip has to be fitted to the trim prior installation.

This adjustment is done when you change the bulb on xenon projector or what? The technician changed the brighter bulb to xenon projector for my VW Scirocco. There is no warning show in the dashboard, but when I run the VCDS, it shows malfunction on the headlight range..

Hello, please I have the original rcd 510 I am looking to connect the rns 510 also to install the glove cd changer .but I noticed there is no available space to connect the socket of the cd loader behind the main unit, i noticed this can only be possible if i remove the blue socket on the main switch and insert the blue socket of the cd loadee into it which means that the original function of the blue socket might not work, i guess this is steering control of volume and music please how do you suggest.?

I belive you can open the connector itself and just change it. No wireing cut needed

Thanks for the video. Big help, and all went smoothly with the replacement. Used a T20 with an extension. The trick was unlocking the two wiring harnesses. Had to use a screwdriver head to slip into the slot on the right side harness, and the coupling popped off.

So just to check if i understood it right The coding is exactly like on the stock Multifunctional Steering Wheel, with paddle shifters, but its just the steering wheel look thats different It is basically plug and play if you lets say have, by default, steering controls and paddles, innit? 🤔🤔 The only thing to keep in mind when choosing the steering wheel is to look for the one with only 12 buttons on it, not with 18 like it comes on the newer models, this being because the b7 passat does NOT have, neither in the most equipped version, more than 12 commands on the steering wheel. Am i right? 🧐
