UK Urbex is a RUclips channel based on urban exploration. It is the exploration of manmade structures, usually abandoned buildings, ruins or hidden components within such environments. Photography / video and historical interest documentation are heavily featured in our hobby. We also take requests to explore abandoned buildings suggested by our subscribers. As long as it's safe to get into them, we will give it a go. We will also give credit to anyone who suggests sites for us to explore that we include in our films. We do not vandalise or break into sites or steal, we only go into a building if we can find a safe entry point. Thanks to everyone that subscribes, we will be uploading videos regularly.

Bradford?
Yeah it’s back in use now I think
Im watching this in August 2005.
Have you got a Time Machine
I walk past the wilko store in bognor where i worked there for 12 years all the time and looks exactly the same as shown in this video. Im really don't know why these stores haven't been taken over. The bognor store is still empty what would be a year next week. Maybe there in talks for wilko to re open? Might just be Wishful thinking
Really enjoyed that video keep up the good work! Looked like an interesting location the Vault would’ve been really cool!
David brown didn't make the gearboxes, not sure about the engines though.
Yeah sorry I read up about it and online it said they designed them so I thought they made them as well but that was done by Aston martin themselves I think the DB name came from the fact he owned Aston martin at the time or had shares in them at least
@@ukurbex3995 I think David Brown just owned them. Not too sure about the rest. Good video though.
David Brown made the chassis for the Aston. They were assembled and treated at their company on St Andrews Road, they are no longer there. They may have toyed with the idea of gearbox' for the Aston Martin, I seem to remember seeing an old case for one many decades ago. Fighting vehicles, wagons, reduction gearboxes were their mainstay. If you ever went up Blackpool Tower the lift gearbox was a Brown' unit. Tank gear box' along with frigates also and Scammell trucks. Plus a huge assortment of other small units.
Bank heist for that £20 lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
How crazy would it be if there were security keys or login credentials stored on that laptop
They was a folder full of passwords
Nice video
Astonishing they left files behind that contain someone's details. Storage and transfer of records has to be one of the first priorities before vacating a premises.
Totally I agree
It was built in the 80s. You mentioned that it’s strange that the sports hall is outside the school grounds - but the school for many years was on split sites - the one you looked round in the previous film and the building at the bottom of Birkdale Road (which then became Dewsbury College and is now apprently going to be turned into flats). The sports hall was between the two sites and right by the main sports field.
That makes more sense now you have said that I did not realise the school down the road was apart of it
What a shame
Nice urbex
The court room rooms are used for the video link during trial or sentencing
They could have kept it up and running
What a waste of a lovely building!
Such a shame it was left like that. It was amazing in it's hayday, it had loads of memorabilia on the walls, famous guitars and drum sets!
That nightclub looks awesome
In the wilko I worked at we was told to sell the fridges, baskets even fixtures
Soon to be a new mosque 😂
I pass this place every day, for over 40yrs, and never realised how big it was around the back. Only been in it once, in 1989, to show some car documents. 👍
I know part was diabetic clinic
Can't imagine living there when there's asbestos even until early 2023. It's in surprisingly good condition for something that's basically just been gutted, but they seem to have left quite a few bits behind. Can't believe only 7.8 grand for having to leave your retirement home due to asbestos. The upstairs is a bit messy though.
Think you'll find it was called Hemmingways for years! I worked there for 10 years looking after the fish 😊 sad to see it like this 😢
It was the pet shop that thousands of kids in Dewsbury would have pressed the faces against the glass front to view the rabbits, kittens and guinea pigs in the cages back in the day. Me included 😃 Brilliant video thank you 😎
Thanks for sharing ive visited this pet shop loads as a kid they used to have puppies and kittens in the window! Upstairs was anazing with all the tanks they had a lot more than whats in this video.
It looks a nice place. Who is there with you?
H dog was there with me
Were you safe in there because I loved watching it?
Yeah we was only in there 30 mins and did not expose ourselves to anything
Storage heaters still exist today, I have brand new ones in my home out of choice, they are fantastic heaters when used properly & very economical. I would say those ones you saw are older than the ‘70’s. Really enjoyed your mooch about, you have a new subscriber 👍😎
Thanx you very much for subscribing I hope you have a awesome day
Was it actually abandoned at the time 2 years ago ..i wonder ?
Yeah it’s been abandoned since 2020 and still abandoned now as we speak
I really wonder and excited 🎉❤ me from India 🎉
I remember Janie's Warehouse in the mid-90s, but can't picture exactly where it was.
Super interesting, I’ve been to Huddersfield a bit but never to the town center.
I miss the coop it used to be a great store
That radiator is a lot older than the 70s
@@traceyjordan9284 ohhhh no way that’s crazy
As an organist it is so sad to see such an amazing organ just sitting there disused and in such bad condition. It's such an impressive organ for the size of the building too
R.I.P Wilko 😢
I love watching all these. Thank you?
The colours of pale blue and white in the attic were the colour scheme of the Co-op in the 70's and 80's and possibly even earlier. They had a pale blue square background with a white logo on it. That colour scheme was everywhere, from the staff uniforms to the dividend stamps books. Nowadays that's what is known as a rewards card! As soon as I saw those attic walls even after all these years my brain shouted 'Co-op'. Thanks for the upload 😊
Yo where is this abouts in hudds cuz me and my mate wanna go to it as it looks like a great explore
It’s under Wilko but it’s been sealed now
@@ukurbex3995 ok thanks
@@ukurbex3995 were stoll gunna go try but thanks for location
always walking past Abandoned Wilko in my local town in King's Lynn,Same thing really,Loads of empty shelves left inside
Kids messing about? Lmao...they've obviously had engraved windows fitted
Those standing fridges could be refurbished and put to use somewhere. It's shocking the stuff that companies/people throw away or just abandon.
better to put the area in the title of video on all the videos
very spookyyy 💀
I miss Wilko's, and I still miss Woolworth's. Both were great stores and it's a pity they went under. But such is the way of the world with monopolistic capitalism running rampant.
The room at 8:18 is the former forst floor of the department store and was never part of heaven and hell. Through the arches was the Co-op cafe until it closed in July 1999.
@@rikkilamb thanx you never knew that
UK Urbex for sharing this video with me about Abandoned Wilko Huddersfield Abandoned Places UK it was a really good video i gave you a thumbs up and shared you out on my community tab my friends i am from the u.s.a and i really enjoy your channel and God Bless.
That building holds so much history! Its sad to see it so derelict. Id love to know what Brown & Muffs and the old Sunwin house in bradford is like inside now! 😊 kirklees music school used to be on Northumberland street, I did all of my flute exams there and in batley!
Sunwin House is no longer abandoned it was supposed to open as a gym in Summer 2023 and an activity centre but that never happened part of the building is now a convenience store
@@exploringwithhenry7621 i think you could be wrong there.. the sunwin building has been closed since 2012 theres nothing in there at all atm im local to bradford and i go past it most days its still boarded off. The games centre they wanted builds not really ever come into fruition. Iv only ever known it as Sunwin was born 92 and went every friday with my grandma and great grandma
@kirstymoore3349 There is a newsagents open in there now on part of the ground floor at sunwin house and there was a furniture shop for a while in there earlier this year. Rackhams/ Brown Muff closed in 95 and was completely stripped, nothing much if anything remains inside from those days. The blind boxes above the display windows outside and one sign remains as a concession to history.
Oh my god,this channel.....is AMAZING!,exploring a BBC studio untouched,champion you are mate
