Fun fact. My uncle now runs my Grandads textiles business in Booth town that operates some older machinery, my grandad was heavily skilled in operating the older looms. Whilst my Grandma was the administrator in the office and she finished off the finished products before she passed of cancer! Bradford and West Yorkshire in general is known for the textiles and heavy woollen industry. I inherited the washer and dryer after my grandad passed in 2019 and i still to this day find bits of the materials from the scarfs as they were washed and dried in the washers i got!

The room that you said was a workshop was probably the laboratory or testing house/quality control. I worked in a textiles testing house in the late eighties/early nineties in a Bolton bleachers and dyers factory when I first finished school.

Strange that even on the radio this morning there's another dr surgery being closed down due to costs, but we can happily find millions of pounds to constantly give other countries and millions per day for the illegals !!

If patient documents were left in that surgery that would be a gross violation of GDPR. My local surgery closed down and ironically was replaced with a funeral home!

Me and my family used to go here a lot when I was younger. I used to work there too. Always wondered what the upstairs looked like. The down stairs had the main room which was for families and functions. The side room with the clocks was the TV room. The blue room was a cloak room/meeting room. The large room to the back was the quiet room (smoking room) and then there was the snooker room. It changed hands a number of times and the last owners sold it to some property developers. It’s a shame to see it looking so damaged and run down.

My mother in law used to work at the mental health facility! My boyfriend looked at accommodation in these apartments. Probably wont look the same in the main building anymore but it had some BEAUTIFUL architecture and original features! Shame to see it rotting! Storthes hall was built about 1788 if i read rightly and became the facility for mental health in around 1939 (ish) .

So where are those from this asylum being treated now? Shortage of houses/flats, does not make any sense.

I have seen so many of these type of videos over many years showing abandoned hospitals, shops, schools, banks, hotels, asylums, shopping malls etc. and I love to watch all of them - please keep the good work up. But my point is that, if I were to make such videos myself - which I would very much like to do by the way -, knowing my luck, I would find myself in deep hot water; breaking and entering, trespassing, causing a nuisance and basically, having 'the book' thrown at me. My question is, how do you manage to get away with, what can only be described as, breaking and entering?

People kept driving into it with HGV's. After it had been rebuilt a few times they couldn't get insurance and that was why it closed.
