I had this idea for people who like the router table idea (as advertised in this video) but don't use the router in table configuration not as much. I made a table saw from scratch and when installing the table top I had a piece left over which I saved. The saved piece is perfect to tit a router insert into/onto. I routed out a square pocket, made an insert which I can mount the router onto and found these metal headboard mounting cleats in my random parts bin. The cleats are wedges which fit into each other quite snugly and securely so I used them to make the off cut table top piece with the router accouterments so it can be hung off the side of the (in my case) very sturdy table saw base. If I need a router table setup I can use the off cut piece and I can use the table saw fence (with an added piece) as the router table fence. The router table extension stores quite conveniently underneath the table saw work surface and the router can still be used as a hand router (though it being quite the router beast)

I have the 5w since I wasn't sure if I could commit to something more $$. In short it builds fast and easy, turns on, and does nothing. It's traveled from the patio to the front door to the garage. It won't home, won't stay awake, won't read the TF card with a g-code on it. I suspect the one I ended up with was just born defective😑

Nice work I am looking into making the same thing. Though I am thinking of using a defuser pannel to give a more even spread of the light coming from behind the glass pannel.
