Few pointers you should remember while investing in SIP for a long term. 1. Suppose Mr A is investing 10000 per month 2. He should ideally choose 4 funds 3. Try to diversify the portfolio as much as possible so that the return comes better. 4. Choose from different Index fund, Largecap fund, Midcap fundand Smallcap fund. It depends on the individual,the time line he has before the precommitment and his financial advisor advice but debt fund has risks which includes various risk Credit risk, Interest rate risk, Inflation risk, reinvestment risk. Fixed deposit in a Bank on the other hand is a risk free instrument till now. Moreover in the given scenerio children's marriage,children's higher education is a sentimental thing and it's vital to keep the Fund Secured in a risk free instrument.

The mid cap category if you check in the video are taken on 3 basic points for Midcap scheme. 1) All midcaps are of direct plans 2) The returns discussed here are of 1 year. 3)The average return of the said Midcap funds that have given more than 40% are discussed in this platform. Quant Mid cap return is around 38 % in the same period.
