@XNightstarX great video however you get an error on that as well. It’s as if commands were removed or missing. Also if you have no root privilages you cannot sudo. Sudo dnf and pacman do not function. Just for fun I tried to emerge portage or RSync the black arch repository and I could add it to the .conf file but still no execution with an update. Ubuntu Asahi works better for music video and studio creation also updates and gives apt a full reign of commands. However steam does not work. But I feel if they update or repair the proton functionality they will again break super user root accounts. I still feel the best way to fix Asahi is to start at the beginning focusing on seamless Linux operation and user root privilages for all normal uses. Then fix proton and steam to be an out of the install success. The only way I will bother installing Asahi remix with anything else is if #blackarch is involved and make their own remix. They could at least get basic functionality out of a live install correct.

Well I can add an idea if your quick connect is a plastic spout you can drill a straight hole for a 3/32 bolt (3mm) do the same to a 1/2” or 3/4” 90 degree elbow. Slip the elbow over the drain spout and secure a bolt through with washers at each side and a nut on the bolt threads. This should make a deflector that can be removed and cleaned (hardware should be stainless) without seeing it this is my best guess at help. I’m sometimes surprised that comments still come from this video. Thank you and good luck! Reread and made an edit here to insure a bolt can be installed check the pvc 90 for fit and when fit is good drill a hole slightly larger than the bolt being used making sure only the drain side and the pvc are drilled. If you have too much splash you can add a piece of pvc to the elbow reducing the splash area. If splash is still an issue you can drill 4 holes in the bottom sides of a two liter bottle and install the bottle over the pvc extension before securing the connector to the tap. Creating a splash guard with adequate drainage.

@Wiretalker spent hours looking for a solution. Ended up picking up another flexible braided hose. Because sometimes common sense escapes me and until I started reading your reply, it never dawned on me to drill a stinking hole in the plastic piece. That's what I get for knocking on the stores employees. I did think about PVC, but the stuff made nowadays is thin, and this places hot water is on setting hell. It would melt the stuff. This video is gold. We run houses with up to three special needs individuals. A lot of places here are opting for no dishwashers but have expensive faucets, and until your video, we couldn't find a fix that they could afford on fixed incomes. You are a lifesaver!

@ I did a lot of crazy things in my life labeled impossible. I have not heard a more worthy reason to share my information. It was fresh install that had two updates. Root account only for testing. Changed after update. I made a triple boot running Ubuntu Asahi for testing now. I will check Fedora after another update. 20+ years at this

@paul-vincent-k5h that has not been my experience. Steam will not connect login or run. It updates while loading once loaded it is blocked from internet. Several attempts to reinstall and fix the connection errors have failed on iMac m1. So you at least inspired me to check again finally an update dropped and fixed the issues with steam. It was a system update on iMac m1.

@@iciconnectit I completely formatted and removed mine to a fresh download install because I had deauthorized mine first. It may not work for anyone else and bricking the machine was not a concern. M1 was devalued almost as fast as it was released. I think these corporations building devices that can’t be serviced repurposed and no true recycling is available is committing truely horrible environmental issues. Promoting themselves as green. There should be something tying the carbon credits to serviceability and alternate uses of a product.

The focus seems to be on the MacBook and not the IMac on Asahi if users are to be believed it works so flawlessly on MacBook and Mac mini. iMac however just doesn’t really. It loads a system. Perhaps it’s one of those KDE vs Gnome things where the developer just dosent care if Gnome works. In the early days gnome worked and everything else sort of worked. This is the main reason we do not take market share and corporations don’t take Linux seriously. We fought for decades scraping up drivers (modules) and compiling systems. Some Linux dev want hardened stability while others want a window esk development and experience. Too much separation in the community. We are all using systems dedicated on the Linux kernel. Yes we treat everything else like ice crème flavors. We need to focus on making the most stable Linux build team up with a company to build us a complete chipset that can do something great! I think AMD has been one of the best supporters over time so why not graphically awesome art music and gaming development and use on an AMD build. Focus on this one thing with a company that is being throttled by main stream software companies. Get Linux kernel, FSF, gentoo, Debian, redhats Fedora and yes Arch to come together just once to build an extremely stable and efficient operating system. Then the extra flavors and mixes like Asahi can work tirelessly on one thing other hardware support. And say June 2025 at some expo or convention bring someone from every flavor that can play nice with AMD to unveil something that will blow people’s minds. Oh yeah and get a gaming developer to build one game for this system the same way! Take all these culminated years of experience which any operating system company would be envious and completely destroy the perceived Hobby image of Linux. Plus tell the companies that fear the feral coders of Linux with Necessary reverse engineering and hacking skills stop fighting us let hardware drivers be open source so people can choose how they use the machines they buy and there will be no need for extreme measures to build a system. Perhaps all the skill could be prioritized on building great stable code and software. In the end we all want the same thing stable useful devices running operating systems that feel personal and well thought out. It’s a shame that for example pure Linux coders and free software coders did not get treated this way earlier because Linux would be the system and everything else would be personalization. I like gentoo. I really do like gentoo one block at a time and try not to break it! The truth is gentoo has the best chance of building the greatest education disk for Linux coding future. But it should not be just a terminal it should be the terminal split with the handbook always explaining the next step only building the next generation of coders the same way. Teaching the steps. If this had been the way so many years ago there would not be so many flavors. Redhat became who they are because of grub and anaconda. Now we risk losing that learning experience as well. With AI soon people will forget how to code and have zero control and zero flavor. The information flowing to us will be governed and throttled making us unaware of how ignorant we have become. If there ever was a time to secure a main stream place in software it is now and we need coders that care to make a system correctly one block at a time. Arch brought me some great flavors of Linux as well. I’m glad your arch BTW but we are Linux. Years ago I chased drivers just to get online with WiFi on an older computer when I found the answer i did not keep it for myself it did not stay gentoo, redhat, Ubuntu, Fedora core, Vlos, mandrake, yellow dog, Suse, Debian, Linux mint, sabayon, EAROS,!etc etc etc. notice that much of that statement is lost in time. I did not Hop I found something useful from each distro that came to be a distro because of desires and personality clashes gentoo Funtoo Pentoo etc etc. then when they built the thing they could not get support for on the parent distro it wasn’t shared or received because of the personal differences. Thanks to GIT that has changed. Now we need to stop flatpak snapped yast yum rom mkpkg emerge port etc etc etc and just teach to compile. Get all the repositories together somewhere so no software is lost. We as a community have lost a lot of software knowledge and skills because the people who knew are dying off and the newer generations want fast and easy. We need now more than ever steady, stable, progressive, active, informative, and resilient!

@@Wiretalker lol i don't think he is going to answer. but are you intrest on making more videos and possibally tutoreals on asahi on m seriec books. i am a m2 mac user who has no idea about lunis os. i think thier is a large ammount of people who scarch for lunis on mac tutoreal or asahi on mac tutoreals. but they see 2-3 month uploading gaps.

@ not really looking for a reply just looking to share what I noticed. It has great potential and the work will make that platform accessible. Just a little quick to release. Perhaps starting with M1 releases once everything worked would have been best then later M series even if M2 had been compiled.

@@SherrickDuncan sorry no dog killed koi fish ruined pond seal. Then drought kept it dry til I could not get it to seal. Maybe with lots of rain and a lot of work someday. It’s been a horrible year plus. Health issues also made having extra money for anything impossible. I sometimes think if my channel went viral I could have buffered some of the bad. Thank you for asking. I basically lost everything and the one comfort was the pond. I have one goldfish called survivor who is in a big bucket on my porch waiting for his pond to fill up again.

All the safety are in 3 places. The magnet switch which works the bag or attachment safety (ironically this is the same circuit for tilt safety) the key which if used a lot will detach the connections in the socket. And the handle circuit 3 wires if you put two wires on one pole of a switch and the other on the other pole the mower handle and power switch failure issues can be bypassed. I kind of did these videos as a joke about the engineering fails of the mower. Now about to replace a third mower the second needed every hack except the magnet switch just to keep running. There are other videos worth watching. This was an update video and showing how easy it was to remove the magnet hack.

@@cjsonshine6806 have you ever seen bride builders or gold miners divert water? They do this upstream. Then material can be removed safely and excess water pumped downstream around the work area.

@@ianweniger6620 pros would have far more success plumbing a relief upstream and around the slide. Then they could use dredging equipment as they pump out water. Since the flow of the river would be mostly diverted the erosion and slippage would be manageable. No job is safe. I’m sure any workers would access the risk and chose the path that’s best for them. However the urgency and the skills needed would be of people who divert flows so include bridge builders in the list of skilled workers that could divert the flow around the issue.

Another note is instead of watching the area fill deploy a series steel check dams to slow the flow and make diverting away from the slippage more manageable.
