10 Choosing Wisely Guidelines for Older Adults
PPI’S are evil and big pharma knows this! You should only ever take them for stomach ulcers or hiatal hernias! Long term use should never be done for heart burn. Trust me I know this because I was on them for 9years and they messed me up in ways I could have never imagined.
Thank you - you did a great job!
Why non-muslim need to wear gloves near muslim dead body?
About Hindu funeral of 12 days ( duration varies slightly in different sects) yes there may be financial strain for some if the family is very poor but it is wrong interpretation to say the 12 days funeral puts the grieving family under severe mental strain. On the contrary, hindu grief resolution process is very systematic and sophisticatedly designed to last at least for 12 months with inclusive community response to loss from the moment the death occurred, even at the terminal stage of life. Grief protocols start very intensive and wider community to gradually taper off after the funeral. Although it is a cultural model it is based on need to protect human brain and body from mental deterioration (depression , psychosis, phobia, eating disorder, psychosomatic disorders, etc) due to emotional grief, isolation, starvation and further loss of family members and deprivation of support system during acute stress, but grief protocols also promote healthy emotional and cognitive recovery for individuals and the create and maintain larger community resilience system over generations and centuries by reinforcing the practice for at least generations at a time as a tradition.
Are the PPI effects reversible on the brain? I'm concerned..
Native American Ojibwe. Beautiful Video. ❤❤❤❤
wonderful video thank you
The fact that different religions believe in contradictory after-death stories is an indication that most if not all are wrong. I demonstrate this and a lot more in my book '"Divine Projection: How and Why Humans Created God."' People who believe that when our brain dies we no longer exist in any form (aside from a memory in the minds of those who survive us) are most likely to be right. Everything else is ancient superstition.
Far from the truth. We have a loving Father in Heaven who wants us to return to him, but we are free to choose between heaven and hell. Sadly not everyone will choose heaven. But God is real, and if we choose to take saving ordinances and endure to the end, we can live with Him again.
Thank you, just what I needed!
I can’t locate a link to the brochure. It would be extremely helpful.
Great video you did an amazing job ❤
What happens if you just take PPIs 3 or 4 times a week ?
Thank you so much. At 78 I need my age to be taken into account. I have been on 40 mgs twice daily for YEARS. Tried several times to taper off. My doc said to just STOP - but the rebound was unbelievable. You have given me a script for getting off. first get a lower dose. I will talk to my doc, of course, but I can make suggestions.
How are you now? Are you still off PPI?
I would like to make a suggestion here. Jigsaw puzzles on an electronic device that is easy to handle. I downloaded app for it for my who has some dementia and constant pain. When I give her a pain medicine and it still doesn't work I get every jigsaw puzzle and she comes right down and just concentrates on the puzzle.
Great video. Thank you!
The "Christian" section is pretty bad, and as it is discussed relative to "Catholic" (also Christian), it reveals ignorance about Catholicism too. Near incredibly arrogant to presume to discuss "Christian" or "the Buddhist culture". What, thousands of years of different traditions, scholarship and inculturation all over the world!? For heavens/heaven's sake!
One book I like is called "The Cancer Code" by Dr. Jason Fung. He also has some videos. I also like Dr Berg's videos.
Evil drugs PPI. I was on various PPI over 22 years only a few months off here and there but most times I was on a PPI. I got sick with covid and fed up with ALL medications. I was on 9 different meds for acid reflux and high blood pressure and sciatica of 3 discs punched or herniated. Enough is enough so cold turkey stopped it all close to 3 weeks now. My stomach is going crazy. Acid come up so fast and strong that I vomitt and water from my mouth alot. Bad burning and food turning and tossing churning feeling . When it gets real bad I gotta sit upright and drink a spoon of baking soda in water. It settles my belly. It happems worse at night. What an evil drug PPI really knock our stomach outta whack.im.goimg to tough it out a year of it takes a year fine , I'm fed up with this evil medication agenda. The whole system is evil. Wise to be drug free amd medication free. What a chit show
PPIs are horrible. Vonoprazan fumarate has paralyzed my stomach, I now have Gastroparesis because of these medications
Catholics are Christians...
Thanks , great video. My rebound is horrific, I am on esoemprozole 20 mg once per day. Been on PPi`s for 25 years. Tried every other day and Famitodine ( H2) but the sudden burn to lower oesophagus is terrifying. I am worried about giving myself Barrett`s oesophagus by trying to stop.
Not stopping it also as risk, it could cause cancer
Stop. I was on for 23 years. It takes week or 2 to balance out. Tough it before it kills you. It will kill you in many other health issues or cancer. Evil system
If we stop it cause cancer?
@BvSriraj-kw3ux no he means if you dont bc on long term (years) can be risk to get cancer
I got off of PPI's and this is how. I made a video of my experience and to let everyone know this can be done! ruclips.net/video/Px5hfS7pBlo/видео.html
I am a buddhist and am unsure on where/why you believe organ donation is not permitted? Not being allowed to donate after death almost goes against our core values..
You cannot donate in Buddhism. Learn the script. Same goes for all 4 Indian religions
This was very early. It was an oral thing because most deaths were due to disease so to prevent its spread, it was banned orally. However, today if lord Buddha was alive, I am sure he would permit it.
Ppi's are a tough drug to beat. 2 attempts and counting
I did it and made a video about how. I you want to ask questions please do. You can do this. ruclips.net/video/Px5hfS7pBlo/видео.html
I am the same, cant get off it because rebound is so awful
@@damian-795 Go slow and low like I did. Cut back about 10% every week. There won't be any rebound but it'll take about 2 months. It's worth it.
Just gotta tough it out. It takes a man. Weak people run to the drugs. Real men stop take this crap. Your choice.
@@damian-795 you need to change your diet once you come off drink lots of probiotics and eat healthy foods until you don’t feel no more stomach pain and acid pains
Ive taking more PPis in the last 6 months then the rest of my life. In which I have struggled with more consistant gut issues over these last 6 months.
I got off of the PPI's and here is the video I made to tell everyone how to do it. If you need help just ask. ruclips.net/video/Px5hfS7pBlo/видео.html
PPI should be banned
Amen
As well as benzos.
its crazy, its so important to have some kind of way to moarn and process death...even if doing it is expensive feels like money shouldnt get in the way or like you should create a way to make sure that persons life which was special is respected despite your own beliefs. anyways never thought to look at a medical perspectice overview of religion diverse belief on death to help my death anxiety.
Very helpful and organized presentation for a very difficult topic. Thank you very much
The wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord 🙏 Romans 6:23 You have sinned against God by breaking his laws and commands and a just God will demand a punishment for evil but because he is rich in mercies and full of grace he has offered you a chance out of eternal damnation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ the lamb who was slain to cover the sin of the world , repent and turn from your sins and realize your transgressions go to Jesus and beg for his forgiveness he will not turn you away
You need a job homie😅
That's one perspective. This video is doing a good job of sharing other perspectives.
very true
Useful video thank you. A comment on your slide about Buddhism: there is no explicit injunction in Buddhism to expect or not expect organ donation (though part of the teachings cover giving one's life to help others). I know many Buddhists who sign up for organ donation because of helping others survive/reducing suffering. Some do have some disquiet about organ donation (for example in some traditions not wanting to disturb the dead body for a period). It's an intensely personal choice: the focus is often brought back to the core Buddhist precepts as a basis and down to the individual. The precepts (including kindness, generosity, honesty, simplicity, mindfulness & awareness) aren't commandments. There's useful guidance on the UK National Health Site (search for "NHS A Buddhist perspective on organ donation") I wasn't clear which denominations are covered by "Christianity" (eg protestant) given that Catholicism has its own slide.
Congratulations!! Very good review on this important topic!
Just let you know: Catholics are Christians.
Thank you so much it's really so helpful and full of information I just had a project about how different cultures view the concept of death and I just found everything here every single detail thank you for your hardworking and for sharing 🤗🤗
