Casio should just create a sub brand for smartwatches. Don't muddy up the water by making G-Shocks be like Apple watches.

Side track on the topic: To push and drive high value and features/driven prepositions on G-Shock, work on the new radio towers in ASEAN, India. It’s a pity that G-Shock has more higher specifications models that often comes with Multiband6, but it render redundant for someone like me living in Malaysia to think twice to pay for all the features including Multiband6 that I can’t make full use of it. Or, work on improving their Bluetooth features instead of Multiband6 for the similar functions and more. However they need to make real effort to improve the user experience with phone apps. Another better and more expensive route: GPS. Happy new year!

That GA-110 is the best selling g-shock ever, so it's kind of a big deal. And Casio non g-shock watches are cool, come on. Especially their Vintage line. I mean, f91w is the best selling watch of all times and all brands, so there has to be something there.

Unless you are a die hard Casio fan, spending more than $300 for a G-Shock can be tough to swallow. Casio has continued to move more upscale and for the casual watch enthusiast $500 plus is a lot when you can get a Seiko 5 GMT for $300 or a Seiko Prospex or Citizen Promaster for $$500.

The porcelain is gorgeous and I think I'll pick one up before it's too late.

Welcome back and showing us your new watch and the special editions. Casio and G-Shock often coming out with some limited, special edition, some are territory specific. Christmas comes early this year for me. Today I received my first ever G-Shock square, G5600UE from courier. Looking forward to spend some time with it. Merry Christmas and happy new year!

I recently got a solar, atomic square G-Shock off Ebay from a japanese seller. It was really dirty from the outside and about 5 years old (according to the serial number on the backplate), so I decided to give it a second life. I ordered a new, original replacement strap, bezel and gasket from Casio but I couldn't find the pushers (which were getting hard to press on the watch mentioned). So off to Aliexpress. I got the pushers according to the model specification and when I got them the biggest mistake on my part was not measuring the lenght of the actual button and shaft combined-I used calipers to measure the thickness before and it was spot on with the factory button, but was careless enough to leave that one measurement behind, because (to the naked eye) everything was exactly like the OG stuff. I greased the tiny gaskets, installed the buttons, closed the watch and everything was looking good until I put on the bezel - all 4 buttons recessed, the shafts turned out to be too short. Although one can argue most Casios nowadays are made in China it's clear that the aftermarket parts are very not up to standards, so I'd advise anyone to try and find original manufacturer parts when in comes to functional components and just use Aliexpress for the cosmetics - who knows maybe you'll get lucky enough for them to fit just right.

So can anyone confirm the surface interval timer is just the dive timer in reverse? It just goes backwards?..

Problem with this watch is that it isn’t great for tide, unless you are bang on where the locations in the database are.

I own G shocks, Garmin and Apple watch. As much as G shock has a very special place in my heart, I will say that I do not have any confidence in G shock being a smart watch, let alone a smart ring. leave it to Apple and Garmin, and make the kind of G shocks that we all love.

The translation shows the name of the model as 'Mugman' which made me LOL. Nice camo-ish colour scheme. As for the ring, I immediately thought 'me wantee!' but if only it beeped and had a countdown timer; maybe... it is kinda cool.

The casio ring is distinguishable enough in its design and novelty to somewhat consider buying (A good gag gift for a friend with small wrists perhaps hah) I wonder if the ring sizing is one-size-only, or if they'll supply different size options... unlikely though The Bait G-shock is absolutely stunning but the idea of maintaining the white resin over time is daunting Great video! liking the variety of content x

Japan-Select already have that GW-9501 on sale. I am tempted, but if I can get one without paying a flipper (scumbags) I will buy one. Quite a few models don't make it to the UK, sadly.

Nice watches, I like the owl mudman. But it's limited edition, and only available in japan. So I purchased the citizen promaster land 35th anniversary edition which is not that limited and I like it. And they included a very nice MIP display on this ana digi watch, and a good solar shock resistant movement,a very good alternative for a mudmaster from casio. I already have the standard mudman it was only 300 usd.

What makes it a chornograph and not just a stopwatch. I am all confused cuz I have the grb300 and it's literally the same thing with the dials switched and a dual motor removed so the mode button turns the opposite way throughout the week dial. edit: ohhh, the mode hand is the power level so it keeps the week day going with the hour and minute hand so it tells time. (chronograph = a stopwatch that tells time at the same time.).

I honestly duno if sitting in the sun all day to keep my watch charged would be the thing for me. I mean i wear a solar gshock but it doesnt have an active power level dial on it. It's just a button. lol
