ECM Talk - From A Practitioner to An Academician
Thank you so much, this helped me a load when studying about this.
Women need to spend more time in the office and less time in the house if they want to take high level positions or be one of the BOD. That is what men do. But majority of women I knew off, after they have babies they want to go home on time. Fine by me, but dont complain when u dont get promotions. And now they are pushing for menstrual leave. Like wtf. If they are not willing to do equal work, dont pay them equally. I used to be a feminist and I support feminist movement back then. These days its so pathetic. Maybe if the women stop complaining and put more hours in their job, maybe then only they can get top level positions.
We Malaysian like to listen to the video speech of puan tan seri rafidah Aziz in Malaysia alamdullila sukerang barakallalh from uncle azlan Shah West Malaysia Harrison's kl
'Makey' and 'aok' confused me as a Sarawakian. Both means 'use/guna' and 'yes/ya' here. Your Sarawakian is very impressive btw, sounded like a native.
I also agree that English is no measure of intelligence. It is just one of many languages. However, English is not to look fancy, but it is the only common language practically accepted world-wide. It is a potent tool to learn new things from outside directly and play with the world. When I visited you guys 2 years ago (luckily right before the pandemic), I was very impressed with Malaysians' English capabilities. Even Grab drivers and small shop owners in Saba spoke good English. I believe Malaysia is one of the top countries in Asia who can speak English well. People are very humble too. You have a bright future to lead Asian economy. Go for it, Malaysia! Steve from USA
Kenapa gak ngomong pakek bahasa mandarin
This is great. Thanks for this insightful and candid interview. I'm a long-time software engineer/consultant in Silicon Valley USA. I have been thinking that Malaysia has one of the strongest potentials in AI+IR4 for multiple reasons. A few questions to Dr. Mahadevan (if he can read this). You said that: 1. "Government is doing its best, but there are disconnectivity issues. 'Agencies' are not directly grounded with these 'People'". Can you be more specific on 'Agencies' and 'People'. Did you mean to say MIMOS and actual manufacturing industry? 2. "Student must jump into the industry bandwagon" - Does Malaysian system support student career movement to AI at the moment? Otherwise, why students not jumping into? What blocks them if this is the future? Do you think that industry supported "internship" programs may help, if available? 3. Microsoft + MIMOS announced CAIFI(Center of AI for Future Industry). I cannot find any web site or additional info since the 2019 announcement. What is the current status? Do they have a web site? Steve from USA
interesting discussion :)
No SHINee songs? You just get a dislike!!!!!
Another insightful program YM. Thanks for hosting.
I agree that command of English is no measure of intelligence or class. This is proven as many successful people worldwide know little English. However, I believe the language can be a purveyor to intelligence and class. Invariably, English is a measure of effective communication when compared to other languages. English has risen to a global level with a rich lexicon and diction. If you need to communicate effectively, you need a language with words that represent everything. And English is the answer. With English, you'll be able to express your thoughts better and help your audience understand you well. With mastery of the language, people can acquire knowledge easily as most literature from the western world are in English. This arguably can lead a person to a higher level of intelligence and class. I hope Malay students realize this and take the language seriously. Keep your mother tongue just at home for cultural posterity.
Another feather to your cap, YM Raja Shahrul.
The correct way to say "awak nak pergi mana tu? " and "wow! Besarnya rumah awak!" in Pahang Language should be "aok nok mengkone te?" "poh paleh weh! Besor mat umoh aok weh!"

Congrats Foodpanda for revolutionizing the food supply chain in Malaysia. I'm one of the beneficiaries of this convenient channel. Nonetheless, I'm still a fan of a good home cooked healthy meal. Home cooking also bonds the family. It'll be great if food delivery and home cooking co-exist for the betterment of society. Well done Raja Shahrul and Segi U for bringing this platform to the public. 👏👏
There not big gap between top 3
Tan Sri, isn't it funny when we have politicians who are elected to lead the nation but they treat women as Chattel for fun and nothing else! Surprisingly, many of them are supported by women themselves! Certainly this could come about because of our education policy!
🙂👍👍👍
If you interview Tan Sri Rafidah or Datuk Chef Wan, just prepare 3 powerful questions - and then, listen. Easy job.

If pandemic gets really bad, there's no other choice but to accept WFH. But if the case of infection is not so bad and people have taken the vaccine, physical class is still the best method of conducting education.
Helpful information. Thank you for sharing. 👍
butterflies around or in your stomach??
I have a question, How about those teacher who set deadline and when deadline came that's when the time he decided that everyone should submit at 12:00 noon. Is that even right to do with the student?
