My kitten is about 6 or 7 weeks. I rescued her when she was just opening her eyes so she was abt a week or two. She has her own blanket that she kneads and suckles on, and it puts her right to sleep! I think she misses her mommy but she's very attached to me and my family, and is very well taken care of.

Hi, my other cats are 9 and 10 year old and still do this. they were not abandoned. It’s a sign that they feel comfortable, protected and loved by their humans.
Makes me wonder do cats really miss there mom when they get older..... like humans... most of animals get separated everyday.. makes me wonder now...
Hi, cats do not remember their mom. They can even mate with them as soon as they are out of kitty age. That’s why it’s important to neuter and trap-neuter-return with ferals and in ferals colonies

@@velvetpaw2057 ok-do you know why it’s doing that? That’s usually the behavior of kittens not weaned..that’s why I thought it wasn’t..
eastwestcoastkid: just out of happiness or contentment . He still does that from time to time and he is now 5,5 years old. My other 10 years old does this on my T-shirt while I’m wearing it 😉.
