In this video, we showcased the working of a prototype for a 15W wireless power transfer system employing a Class E resonant inverter. The purpose was to illustrate the transmission of power across an air gap without the need for a galvanic connection. As part of the demonstration, we arranged LEDs to spell out our lab logo, T.E.L., representing Transportation Electrification Lab.
Inverter testing

In this video, we demonstrate the testing of our single-phase inverter tailored for wireless charging. We've modularized the design by separating the logic circuitry onto its own board, which we then stack onto the power frame. This approach ensures that if there's any damage to the logic circuitry, you won't need to replace the entire inverter PCB.

In this video, my student Sushan Pradhan demonstrates his H-Bridge inverter setup. This inverter was developed in-house by the research group of TEL Lab at IIT Jodhpur, with the intended application in wireless power transfer. In the video, we are using a 24V DC link and a switching frequency of 85kHz. MOSFET switches were selected for the 24V DC link. For higher DC link operation, MOSFET switc...

Tutorial for plotting a Parameter Against Something Other Than Time in Ltspice
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.7 месяцев назад
This tutorial video has been crafted specifically for my student, Avishek Munsi. However, I feel that it can be useful for others who are facing the same issues, so I have uploaded it on RUclips.. Within this video, I demonstrate the process of utilizing LTspice to graphically represent a parameter, such as voltage, current, or power, against a variable other than time. For instance, if one des...

Hello Sir, I met you in SeFeT'2023 conference.
I simulated current source connected to capacitor in LTSpice. But, I got an error. As the theory, capacitor voltage will ramp, but why in LTSpice can't simulate it?
could you please share the simulation files if possible
Can’t you emulate the circuit from the video!
@@Charged_EE KA_HB is difficult to emulate
Please ,is it possible that you add the Ltspice files ...thanks in advance !
copy the circuit shown in the video…
Amazing, Thank you, sir! It's all under your supervision. Your guidance and support have been invaluable.
Hi. Thanks for the great video series on LTspice simulation tutorials! This is really useful information for those who are new to this field like me. I am study with simulation of a inverter and would need a motor model to test the inverter response. Could you please send me the .lib motor model and simulation file?
does bootstrapping limits switching frequency ?
what is that voltage source connected at the bottom of the summer block in the phase shift logic circuit. It isn't clear
That is such a huge improvement!! Did you invent this modification?
No
@@Charged_EE could you point me to the paper or book where you found this, please? I am trying to learn more about mosfets, and in search of resources that explain this stuff step by step.
This is so well explained! Thankyou for making this video brother.
Glad it was helpful!
How you import the spice model?
That will have high current in M16/M17 when transitioning ...NOT GOOD!
How to build it ?
so its an air transformer, what frequency it works on? good job btw
150kHz
FFFUUUULLLLLLL BRIDGE RECTIFIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peak Efficiency? Efficiency over distance?
We will measure after putting it on a PCB assembly
Amazing
Impressive, all the best sushan sir.
So proud of you pupay❤ keep doing your best everyday.👍
Why don't you give circuit diagram
I generated curves well in ltspice with a separate gate drive source but try doing it with a resistor/capacitor as one would do in real life and the simulation slows down to a never ending crawl.
Is it using IR2113/2110
No, its made using discrete components
@@Charged_EE ok thankyou
Hi, can you kindly share the schematic? Thank you for the informative video too
Great... could you please make video tutorials on this?
Very Soon
Hi, how the schematic will change if you change the GND with another voltage (for example 13V)? I want to have at the output of the Mosfet Totem Pole 13V when uC is in High state and 15V when uC is in 0 . Thank you :D
Try and see
Hello, Thanks for your video I am trying to build a bipolar driver (+Vgson and -Vgsoff) and I am struggling for the choice of the BJTs for it. What is your technique for choosing BJTs?
see the voltage and current rating, another thing to look for is Frequency - Transition
@@Charged_EE thanks
And when the level-7.5V both mosfets are on and short cut the powerfully.
Thank you for your video. I have 1 question for this lecture. I wonder why there is a phase difference between the reference Sin and Inverter Waveform and how to correct it.
Reverse the probe connection :) Phase difference will go away
How can I make a simulation for 11-level Phase Shift PWM technique for control of single phase inverter with LTSpice simulation?
Hello, how can I contact you for a project pls?
drop your email here i will send you my contact email.
Hello, can you help me with a sinusoid design? Pwm inverter?
How can I contact you?
why here you have used BJT instead of logic MOSFET in the level shifter?
No particular reason. You can use MOSFET as well.
How to get the efficiency of this gate driver circuit? and what about the power loss of the driver? also is it possible to get gain and bandwidth of the driver circuit?
For efficiency, you can measure ratio of output and input power. For gain & bandwidth you will have to do small signal analysis.
Remind me to UCC3895. Damn badass chip.
Was hoping you showed how to generate just the output characteristic curves in LTspice. Amazingly hard to find this most first simple thing.
Только схема плоха тем, что она меняет сигнал с 0 на 1, а это не всегда надо.
Nice video! I am curious to see how only the first stage of your final design would do as a driver (without the NPN-PNP emitter follower), comparing characteristics and graphs, pros and cons.
Can u give the file link please
Thank you so much for the circuit. I was looking for it
Thanks for the video and sharing your work! Could you clarify the purpose of the first PMOS (M15) - is it so that the output follows the input signal ie. HIGH Vin = HIGH Vout. Could you also explain the benefit of the Totem Pole instead of just having a BJT NPN driving the PMOS ie. Vdc will be connected to both the collector and the load
Can you please explain a bootstrap based gate driver?
See this video: ruclips.net/video/XC7_5QpNAM4/видео.html
I use a differential schmidtt buffer for the comparators and then you don't need Vg and the Ground . Also everything works at 1 volt so you don't need the level shifting. You do need to define to the Schmidt triggers Ref=0 though. What is the other voltage voltage source that is going into the Adder on the low point (not the duty cycle voltage source) if I may ask ?
BTW Thanks for the presentation.
Hi! I'm doing my masters in power electronics, I'm tried to do the simulation but I'm not getting exact result. It would be helpful if u share the file, I will give you an email address
Thank you This tutorial was very informative. Can you guide us how to simulate TVS diode in LTspice? I tried importing some spice models for TVS diode but not getting the expected results. I maybe doing wrong somewhere.
How add temperature in LT spice
hey would u like to send me this simultion per Email ?
It is nice, I recently found out that you can simulate temperature effect in LTSpice, I would recommend doing videos about, power consumption simulation. I discovered that and I liked, especially with transistors, for example do a comparison of BJT vs. MOSFET.
