The second example of my newly rewired JCM800. This recording is without automatic gain control so you can hear any hum, etc.

Sounds out of tune and like a tin can.
Thanks - but I wasn't caring about tone. I made the video to have a record of the solo so I could remember how to play it. There are not that many good lessons or tutorials on this solo online, or at least there weren't 7 years ago.
I can see the horns
I always saw you everywhere

I like the video ok but damn has anyone ever herd of a tripod. Way too much camera shaking, felt like I was getting sea sick.
I was in a rubber dingy with a small outboard motor holding a handheld camera (with video capability) in one hand while I held on with the other. The driver was rotating the boat to get ready to head out from the wave that was heading for us.
@WolfDave *heard (what you did with your ears) not herd (group of cows)
GREAT!!!!
This is a cool one

This company is known to sell fraudulent Dali’s. Unfortunately, they target novice buyers. Also, who would ever buy art on a cruise ship!?
I bought a few things from them. All original art work. They arrived in perfect condition and I couldn’t be happier.
About 20 years ago he was in a band called Boa with his sister, Jasmine. Check them out. She shares this talent though I have to admit Steve sounds almost exactly like his father. It's pretty amazing!
Great vid. What's the cheapest midi hub I can use in the US to bypass my PC when going direct to my Model D module?
Sounds muddy when guitar and synth mixed. I’d use one or the other personally.
It actually sounds a lot different live (not in a RUclips video), where you can mix the keyboard sounds as a separate channel from the guitar, not both into just one mic or input. Not that I disagree completely, of course one sound at a time sounds cleaner, but you can do either; one at a time or together, whenever you want. It depends on what you are playing and what the song needs. Organ sounds better than piano (guitar midi piano never sounds great).

We don't do that here
I'm really surprised how unprofessional the engineers are. From 1:41 onwards it's as if uniform standards and the safe and efficient propulsion of the ship is no longer a concern to them whatsoever. Shame on you, NCL engineers.
You dick !!
where can you get the Kenton Midi USB Host at any sites that has them the same kind you have?
honestly, i think they stopped making them, i have not seen them in years, but GC carries the iConnect midi usb hub.
They have become very rare - BUT Fishman now makes a device to do this setup that adds features the Kenton didn't have.
I thought Norwegian Epic had Azipod's
I have to say that I did not work well in 6 months I have it, I really think it is a device in beta phase, and I think it will continue to be at least for about 10 more years ,,, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL ,needs constant support service
Are you talking about the triple play? Mine worked pretty well, as well as any other midi guitar pickup I ever had. They are not perfect, but they are pretty good.
Have you tried the YouRock Midi guitar? If so, how does it compare to the FTP? Thanks.
Ditto
Don't pay attention to these little brat kids shooting off their mouths, apparently they like to run down other people to feel good about their shit life.
Sounds just like his dad but has his own style. Refreshing.
Hi Paul, thanks for posing it!! We gotta jam sometimes when you come to Phoenix!
Awesome!! (Thanks Charlie for logging into my shiz man)!
Hi! Do you think the same kind of set up would work with the ghost midi pick up kit? And would it work on any sound module/rackmount synth? Thanks alot
NOt really, the Triple is unique for having a wireless USB receiver for the midi data. Most midi pickups use special cables.
nothing wrong with distortion, but everything your playing sounds the same, you need to clean it up once in awhile, so it don't sound so repetitive.
He sounds very good!
WOW! So good!!
Thanks for the vid. I've been doing a lot of digging on how to incorporate my Fishman triple play for a live setup. I'm looking to spend a bit less on the hardware synth. What about something like a Roland DV-110 or Yamaha MU80?
Any sound module will work with this setup. The key is the Kenton hub to translate USB midi to 5-pin.
Any sound module works. They are hard to find these days however, even used.
I've been wanting to do the same thing with a DSI prophet 12. Thanks for posting!
Too much distortion clean it up some
Good job dude
Hi Paul! How do you select patches on Motif? Do you use some floor MIDI controller of just with Triple play? I have similar setup with Roland JV-1010 and I had to program all my patches in Fishman software (saved them as User presets) but with Triple play controller on guitar I just can go up or down on that list.
bobritsky I did save the ones I want to use in order in the user-preset section of the Motif, but I talked to Fishman at NAMM and they assured me that the TP is set up for use with this kind of setup where you can select patches in the software and then upload them to the Triple Play via USB. Then you have them in order on your TP controller on the guitar. I tried this and as I recall it did work, but since I don;t really need it (my TP controller also controls up & down for the user presets on the motif anyway) I didn't worry about it. But if for some reason your module is not controllable, you can use the software to preload the patch order and upload it to your controller. I remember seeing it in one of the instruction videos, or perhaps the manual (sorry I am not more clear).
Paul Motter Yes, it works exactly like you've said. I've uploaded around 10 favorite patches to TP controller via TP soft and now I can go up or down with just guitar.
I created a new channel on the sound module with just the sounds I wanted, and the Fishman lets you scroll through them one at a time with the controller on the guitar
Beautiful, just beautiful Steve. I love it when ya perform. Jane in Cali.
If the midi host is bus powered and you have the TP in the USB port, how are you powering the midi host?
Sorry, I am not sure what you mean by midi host - but the power works like this.. The Fishman pickup has rechargeable batteries in the snap-on controller. Takes about 24 hours to charge up but the charge lasts a LONG time. The small box that I plug the USB dongle into has its own DC power adapter. The sound module (Motif) also has its own ac/dc power adapter.
I see. I meant the Kenton. I thought it was usb powered. If it has a DC power supply, that answers my question. Thanks!
Paul Motter Yes - the Kenton comes with a 5v DC power adapter
FYI: I know its a Les Paul "Standard" - not a "Custom" - not sure why I said that. It's also a '93. Just talking and thinking about something else.

Paul, could you email me please, I have a few questions on your wiring configuration. Thanks waynedartist@live.ca
I just saw this and emailed you - you can ask here or by email, either way. By the way - Fishman has a new Kenton-style hub in prototype, but no telling when they will release it.

Very cool. I have the triple play and I am thinking about getting your exact setup for running it live. Just don't want to drag a laptop to a gig. Thanks!
