@@Blueskyver yes, that was a very close call, I had only had my Avata less then 2 weeks when this happened, so needless to say my heart skipped a couple of beats. Have a look at a short two parter video of my buddy and I flying head one in to each other with our DJI FPV.

Flying in low clouds is looking for problems, I only went straight up, looked around (360°)and descended.

I’ve been tempted to take my mini up in thick fog.

@martinvanyperen its built to take it. My buddy crashed his mini 2 into a river and was completely submerged, two days later he was flying again. Mine just had dew on the top body and on the arms.

Being on my 2nd mini 2, Good to know.

It’s a heavy camera to mount on a quad… top heavy, I also had to find the sweet spot for balance. As for the resolution, it was uploaded as 4K. I will try again, maybe I will install the camera under the quad.

@@droneflyernick right on, I was totally thinking of trying to mount one underneath too, but maybe without the stick? I love that you are doing this kind of stuff! I tried putting a flashlight on my little FPV the other day and It looked cool but I couldn't hardly see anything.

@@droneflyernick on second thought, you know what might be happening is the stabilization is focusing on the drone causing the background to move around, whereas you might want the background to be stabilized rather than the drone?

Thanks Blue, it’s an awesome camera and I plan to use it more on the DJI FPV, but I want to mount it from the bottom of the quad as it makes it very top heavy.

I used to live-stream on Periscope with my Mavic 2 back in the day until it the app shut down, so it’s good to know I can live-stream with the A2 and my Mini 2 once again.

I use a Belkin dual splitter iPhone lightning female/3.5mm dongle to lightning male.

thanks I was in Barbados and they required a drone permit which could take up to 6 weeks so I was unable to take it.

@Browning615 Both Barbados and Bahamas require permits, however I flew in Freeport in 2018 and never had an issue.

Even after 60 hours in a heated garage the load still had frozen snow on it.

The Avata is my go to drone. I hardly ever fly any of my camera drones anymore.

I’m using two devices, one of my devices that is plugged into my goggles and I use an app called Prism to screen record to RUclips. The second device is view the live stream. There are plenty of YT videos on how to set it up. Cheers

Hey Noel, I will try again in the morning, but my Mini is not happy about something. It seems to disconnect mid-flight and I sometimes get the a height and distance limit. I updated the firmware on it afternoon, so I shall see. TBC
