DISE PAP
Many times, we perform DISE with a CPAP, that´s what we call DISE-PAP. It´s one of the few ways to understand why a CPAP fails in a particular patient.
In this case, we found a realease of collapse only when we apply more than 14 H2Ocm or more than 10H2Ocm with an esmarch maneuver, something we can do certainly with a MAD, mandibular advancement device.

39 years male with a severe OSAS (AHI 47,5). DISE shows a severe and complete collapse of palate, lateral pharyngeal wall and tongue base, which puts backwards the epiglottis indeed.

@@hugoacv07 por el peso y talla del paciente. Este poligrafo en particular está diseñado para pacientes de más de 50 kilos. Hay otros modelos para niños
@@felcastilloapenas lo use hoy y dure 2 hs de sueño y deperte por la apnea y como que pese a tratar de dormir de costados no podía porque parecia que el oxígeno no me llegaba al corazón y me asuste, ahora me da miedo usar el aparato y ya obvio mis resultados fueron malos para ser mi primer día con este tratamiento y eso que estaba semanas sin apnea de sueño 😢
