You have to convert the object to a curve. In object mode, right click then hover over convert to and select curve. Now your object is a curve. Go to the object data properties and scroll down to geometry. Then you can follow what he is doing in the video. (CTRL +2 should be done AFTER you convert the mesh into a curve. Also, the object data properties icon looks like a piece of green cable when dealing with curves and it looks like a green triangle with green dots when dealing with meshes.) Hope that helps.

This hair uses Blender Particle system and won't transfer to unreal Engine unless you convert it from particles to mesh in the modifier tab. The model has a Polygon hair as well which will transfer to UE5 without issues

That's weird. Check that the normal are facing correctly; go into edit mode, select all vertices and press "Shift N" to recalculate normals and see if that helps

Hi, hope this is not late. Look at the top corner of the Menu bar, click on the box right beside the "Global Box". The options in this box influences helps you choose if you wish to rotate by 3D cursor, Median Point, or Individual origins which I find the most useful. In this case, you should select, "Median Point". Hope that helps

Hello, I'm using the latest version of Blender and u have the option. When you press 'Shift A', scroll down the options, you will see "Single Vert", click on it and then choose "Add single vert". Alternatively, you can add a cube, go into edit mode, delete 3 of the vertices of the cube so you're left with only 1 vert and then you can make the braids using that vert. Let me know if this helps

Hi, the secret is to add enough loop cuts when you press 'Control B' so the faces smooth themselves out without needing subdivision surf or the shade smooth option to appear smooth.

When pulling the sides of the cube - make them half the size of the cube. You won't have any problems.
