Просмотров 7717 лет назад
This 1904 Farrand two manual 9 rank reed organ with pedalboard belongs to the First Congregational Church of Silverton, Colorado. Built in 1876, they ordered the organ new in 1904. The church building is unchanged and the sanctuary still has its original alter. The church and organ were featured in the 1954 movie "Run For Cover" starring James Cagney filmed in Silverton. This is from memory on my Conn 653 theater organ I have stored in the Weed, NM high school gym. When I want to play it, I just wheel it out into the gym for a fantastic acoustical sound. I have two additional 15" speakers that you can see one of in the background.

My version of this song. Played on my Conn 653 theater organ which I have stored in the Weed, NM high school gym. When I want to play it, I just wheel it out and the acoustics of the gym give it a great reverberation.

Brazosport Exporter Fight Song - 1969
It’s a theatre organ I think
The fact that some of those kids in the picture could very well be dead now 😔
0:00 sounds like my school bell
Looks like a Wurlitzer organ

This sounds like a 7th inning stretch
Wonderful! Enjoyed a show there. Another great rendition on RUclips is Dodger organist Helen Dell's she recorded later on a pipe organ.
I love Conn organs.
They are okay considering when they were built. But they could have added more voices. My 653 has had a major going over but still has a few glitches. But I play it every day and only paid $100 for it!
Let's play ball!!!
Beautifully done. One of my mother’s favorite songs. Wish you made more videos. Love music thank you 🙏
Take a listen to Lucy Thomas singing this song. I think you will enjoy it immensely, Available on here.
@@Ronald7077 I will thank you. Have a great day
So beautiful and your very talented. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lol, I think I would've been the only one possibly singing O Canada, Montréal style.
i was too...fellow quebecker here!
I was proudly singing the Francais version as well mon frere....et tu valeur!!! I am just 40 miles sud de border de Quebec....70 from Montreal!!
This sounds really beautiful.
Doggonit! Here I am, sitting at home, trying not to catch the COVID-19 virus and suddenly my nose is all stopped up and I'm crying like a baby!
Wish this were near Worcester, MA.. Beautiful organ
To the fellow who said "don't gotta stand up," yes, you stand for another's national anthem out of respect. If you doubt this, look for Usain Bolt's interview in the Olympics he halted because the US national anthem was playing for another medal ceremony.
I think if you listen carefully the fellow says: "Ya'll gotta stand up." So I'm very pleased to see this respect for each nation's anthem.

That song is "How Great Thou Art".
I never met a Canadian who didn't respect the U.S. and our national music. I was a landed immigrant back in 1978. My grandparents and my wife's parents are from Canada. BK Canton Ohio
Hello, Neighbor! I'm a fellow Ohioan here.
I see 1 person dislikes this, whoever you are, SHAME ON YOU! I suspect that a liberal democrat just doesn't appreciate good music when they hear it. As a disabled Veteran, I say, "Thank you!"
Please, this is not a Liberal Democrat or a low life Republican, this is just and un-American person who is only looking for attention . All Democrat and Republican respect the Anthems from Canada and America and I am Canadian so let leave politic out.
@@berniecom728 I got news for you, there's NO such thing as a 'low-life' republican! The ONLY 'low-lifes' that I know are, in fact, democrats, so, NICE TRY! As for politicizing things, it's the 'low-life' democrats and they do it every day, just look at Joe Biden and his worthless, 'low-life' democrats who hold the majority in BOTH chambers and the white house! November will be here soon enough! Democrats respect the national anthem?! NO THEY DON'T, they NEVER HAVE and NEVER WILL!!
Brought a tear to my eyes. To see the people standing for the Canadian and American anthems. I'm a veteran from Indiana.
Indoctrination is all I see.
Happy 50th Anniversary, Organ Stop Pizza!
Sounds like revivalist hymn nonsense.
Did a Canadian write this description or something? There was no America the beautiful in this medley. It was God Bless America.
The beautiful organ and that most glorious singing. Makes this vet smile.
Lew, you can play over my ice or my diamond any time. Carol could use a lesson or two from you.
Where was that?
Ask Switzerland Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, Arizona.
Thanks!
No problem, if you ever get the chance to go, I would recommend. I am fortunate enough to live near it!
Well, I am not :D I live in Switzerland, which is located in the middle of Europe :D But when I visit the US the next time, I will defenately look for one of these organ stop pizza's. Greetings from Switzerland :)
Mesa Arizona USA. Near my house 😀
Another 2mp rescued well done!
Congratulations on the restoration. Let's hope that the church will use this organ regularly from now on and that other churches will be inspired to put their own forgotten instruments back into service.
Did you go to PIedmontHIlls High school?
Sorry, I attended Brazosport H.S. in Freeport, Tx
To each their own I guess. I used to own a 1990 F-150 5.0L EFI and the only 305's that could even attempt to keep up with it were the post 1995 Vortec models.
This guy is good! What a sleeper! Thanks!
Bass Coupler looks nice and positive! What make is the organ? Thanks.
thanks for downloading...great memories ; )
Very nice -- it gave me chill bumps. It's nice hearing the 4bbl over loud exhaust.
Damn man that sucks
That or a Fleetwood brougham would be a blast to own, someday..... someday not too long from now!
it's an awesome boat, with an awesome crew. Great memories. :)
You're kidding right? The 351 in the ford truck is built for low end torq.No high end horse power. But same can go for the 305 in the chevy truck. There is a reason why chevy got rid of the 305 and replaced the truck engines with 350's,and replaced the camaro 305's with LS1's.I owned a f250 with a 351w,no problems with the engine even after I sold the truck.Look up some ford mustangs with 351 swaps in them, then try to say they are gutless.
I'd like to talk to the person that posted this! 979 265 1290 phone will ring 6 times before answering machine picks up if I'm not home! thanks!
Have to agree with ya on that one! I've got a 66 limo. I have owned a lot of classic Cadillacs and my favorite style of the 60s is without a doubt the 66-68. Best look by far!
What an awesome gulfcraft!!!!
Sounds great!Looks great!
oil in gas? never heard of that before. Only know of two stroke engines and rotatory engines that have to be mixed.
@quirpco what? You must think I own an oil company! Sadly, it only gets run every 3 months or so.
Nice ride , wish you the best have owned a 69 & 70 , I have a 70 now with NOS

Looks pretty... sounds like shit. Needs a little work and she'll be good to go.
