first off thank you, i can say from memory this definitely gave me some trouble, specifically the cleaner tone im running on the jazzmaster. i try to get as much info as i can on what type of gear bands tend to use but from what ive found on la dispute they really like their boutique amps and crazy pedalboards. i do everything through amplitube so im somewhat limited but theres plenty in there to make it work, and what you cant accomplish in there you can usually smooth out by mixing the track. first off: the easy part aka the distorted sg right panned track. the main thing there is a 5150, i also have a cover of for mayor in splitsville where im basically running the same thing. what ill do is attach screenshots of everything so you can get the gist of where knobs are set. in my own experimentation i found that combining a 5150 and a vox ac30 gets you a really neat sounding tone that you can manipulate to do a lot of different things. i usually have a tube screamer going into the ac30 as well. the harder part: that damn clean tone. to my ear, it sounded like it was in the realm of a fender bassman so thats what i used. the setup there is really straightforward, just an eq pedal cutting some of the undesirable frequencies and accentuating a bit more of the high end straight into the bassman. for the distorted parts with that i just used saturn 2 to give it the extra punch. but that didnt really come together until i eq'd the absolute hell out of it. its a really difficult tone to replicate and definitely had me wanting to pull my hair out. so for reference here's the jazzmaster cleaner tone eq pedal: gyazo.com/c09315b2a5ddf004559486d307892d25 bassman settings: gyazo.com/0ccd5500da6c5c01a535c5199ec0a3f8 and then the sg ac30/5150 setup pedals into ac30: gyazo.com/b17b6d96e5e98a3d0925d20067843c9d ac30 settings: gyazo.com/8073a2b9055915cca3e83dcfe70f998e eq pedal into 5150: gyazo.com/d470cc09d12209699e2f5984ca32847e 5150 settings: gyazo.com/818d6b3144bdad90c64d0fe30affacc1 sorry for such a long winded comment but there's a lot going on here. both of the cabs are mic'd with an sm57 and a u87. if there's any more clarification youd like feel free to ask im a pretty big tone nerd as you can see.

Sorry to bother again, could you please share with me the cab models, the speakers inside them, the room and the room mics? I know it's a lot, I'm trying to make a tone for myself based in this tone so if I could get it just right and work from there that would really help me...

@@isaacleiton8178 no problem! im pretty sure everything with the cabs and speakers are just stock. the 5150 is going into the satch green 4x12 with brit 80 speakers. the ac30 is going into the gry british vintage 2x12 with brit alnico S speakers. both of these are in the mid studio room with condenser 87 overheads, although i usually use condenser 12s. feel free to experiment as you please. the bassman is going into the open vintage 4x10 and i dont think you can change the speakers on that one because its grayed out for me. also the preset that i saved is actually mic'ing the bassman with an sm57 and a ribbon 121. mid studio with condenser 12s for the overheads. couple other things post eq after the 5150: gyazo.com/93411f1bb2a0e544a009ed5b7dc06596 extra saturation after the ac30: gyazo.com/ff92910130f9af4c949aaf86dcb9d18d 5150 levels: gyazo.com/13e0b0eaa2791785199126f18a2f673d ac30 levels: gyazo.com/3a7cf25e3a8f13f84c7a6d5816822204 bassman levels: gyazo.com/52db28c55804dd783dd3938e595888ab anything else feel free to ask im glad to help in any way i can!

i envy those experiences big time. i got to catch them at a reunion show but im sure those basement sets were an entirely different beast

@@pseudo-world I went to see them recently in Brooklyn. They sounded great and definitely still had basement energy. I also finally got to see In Loving Memory live after listening to vinyl for 20 years, it was fucking epic.

@@whatburnsneverreturns pretty sure for this i was using one of the neural dsp plugins, probably archetype gojira. however ive since discovered that the tone on this album is pretty much just a jcm 800 with a boss ds1
