In this video we show you how to wire wrap sphere shaped stones. This works especially well with translucent ones, because the orb bends the light in such a way it looks like its floating in the setting.

You may be able to find this wire at a hardware store, but I found this particular wire at Rio grande jewelry supply online.

I can't tell from your video whether the wire should be half hard or dead soft. Can you clarify?
I'd say dead soft...easier to handle
It's literally a matter of preference. People get too hung up on the little details. This is art, don't be afraid to improvise guys lol
