He could have just written 5.5 in each square. It would have been even more magical. A true magic square does not have any repeating numbers and it has all the numbers in a sequence.

easy, my 8 year old son can do that en less than 10 sec.......every num. you say sustrac 20...22-20=2...first esq..2 , then the next numbers are always the same...1-12-7..next 11-8 are the same, and 1 is always the first num in the corner minus 1, in this case is 2-1=1 and 2 is always same, next 5-10-3 are same and 4 is add two to number in corner 2+2=4, next, 4 is same, 3 is add 1 to the num. in the corner 2+1=3 and the next num are 6and 9 always same......example....somebady say 87, then 87-20=67 this is the num in the corner then put 1-12-7, next 11-8 and 66, because 67-1=66 then 2, next 5-10-3 and 67+2=69 and next 4-and 67+1=68 then 6-9.............ok....67-1-12-7...11-8-66-2.....5-10-3-69.....4-68-6-9
