I'm a railfan from the state of New Mexico who likes to film trains around the Southwestern portion of the U.S.A. My favorite freight railroad is BNSF Railway. I upload every Friday. Train trip reviews are also included on the channel as well as much more.

A couple of weeks ago while on a railfan trip up to Santa Fe and Albuquerque. I decided to make a side trip over to the small town of Lamy NM which is 30 minutes south of Santa Fe. Lamy has some decent train action from Amtrak Southwest Chief trains #3 and #4 to tourist trains operated by Sky Railway. The train action was great. Like, share, subscribe, and comment below.

Well, last weekend. I did some railfanning along the Hereford Subdivision down in Texas. But I also made a side trip to Texico which is on the NM/TX border. New Subscriber. If you ever make it to Rock Springs again let me know. I live between Rock Springs and Green River along the line. I will show you around Green River and Hobo Shoestring tag if they haven't painted it over and also Bryan. Bryan was the original location for the yard before they moved it Green River and it still has a yard there. Also has an aviation arrow. Just let me know and I will show you around my ville.
Also in this video the direction you are pointing is where the Big Boy was parked both times when it stayed over night here for the employee event.

Stackin & Rackin in Fort Sumner... Big haul intermodal with only 3 singles and zero bare tables, then you caught Southern Pacific and GT Auto Racks on train 2... Awesome !!

I'm so glad that the historical museum still reenacts the golden spike ceremony with these two trains: I'm not sure if the locomotives are the real deal or not but they sure are wonderful to behold and pleasing to the ears. :-)
According to the National Park Service, these locomotives are exact replicas of the original locomotives.

I was an Amtrak OBS Washington, DC employee in the 1980s/'90s and to see this area 25+ years later is astounding. There was virtually nothing where all of those high-rise buildings across the tracks are today, maybe some low, rundown townhouses and small businesses, but NE DC in that area was not considered a safe place for most people to go. The building with the curved roof and what look to be loft apartments carved into them was the old Washington Coliseum, where The Beatles played their first DC concert in 1964 (probably the "historic" part of what the sign on it refers to). When I was around there it was a trash transfer station.

There were a good amount of people on it. Just depends on the hour you ride it.
