You seriously need to get some riding tutoring, lovely bike , but your cornering and lines are terrible and you will end up in the Boonie's riding like that. Get some advance lessons and you will experience what that bike is cable of.
Oh mate 😅 it was a borrowed bike. So I took it easy. Check my other videos. I ride track with R1 in A groups. One video does not specify my skill 🙂
I have a cb650r 2024 ... had a hard time deciding between these two...brilliant bikes
You are right. Incredible bikes. Ideal for the road. Comfortable and sporty, but they did not overdo it

What a weather contrast on the same day. Riding looks good- especially corner exits. Those long straights to entry corner in the wet must shrink your balls haha
@@sorecawk especially on slicks 😅 yeah, still trying to learn how to trust the TC. My 2005 gsxr had no TC, so it was mainly about my wrist control. A lot of space for improvement, but this was my first full day in the R1

I've had two of these many years ago... Like a TLR1000 hooked up with a Street Fighter and this was their child. Fell in love with the mix of italian styling/handling and the japanese vtwin engine. Use to ride it through the norwegian mountains for stress relief.
If you had to have one, which would it be and why?
@@higherconscience84 rs660. Smaller bike, more fun, advanced electronics, nice display. Just newer and nicer
@@mikey_moto_channel so if you had to choose between a 2024 cbr1000rr or rs660, you would still go with aprilia? Any issues with the aprilia? I’m considering either, bike. Been riding the twisties on a Cbr500r. Want more power to keep up with the big bikes. It’s fun though, but it has its limits on highways.
@@higherconscience84 no. In that case id go with 2024 cbr1000rr. I like the new design of cbrs I have heard, that rs660 last 10000 km and then usually engine is done. Either leaks oil or explodes or something. I dont want to tell not to go with 660, it is awesome bike, i just heard it multiple times tho

This is not a beginner bike. I can see that you are a new rider and still have a lot to learn. I have this bike and it is such a perfect machine. The best of the best. I had a honda fire balde and a MT-09. This is by far the best bike. ❤❤❤. And the seat is awesome, it's so comfortable and provides a lot of support. Too bad you don't like it. 😂
@@sbsb4995 well. It is a low cc bike, generally for riders who start riding. Of course, it is not designated just for a beginner. There is also R3 which can be considered as a beginner bike, but you can ride it on a pro level With all due respects, I am far from a new rider. I ride Gsxr 600 track bike, R1 track bike, Triump 1200 for a street and cbr1000rr road bike. Tested over 100 bikes from adventure to 400 kg american cruiser. Sorry, far from a new rider tho ☺️But sure, everyone can still learn something new. Thats why Marquez follows other in practice and qualifying 👍 I like the bike, I have even considering to buy it ✌️
An owner here. How loud is the Akra? I’m not happy with the stock sound but don’t want to be hated by neighbours…
@@ThePineVideos I think is as any average custom pipes. It should be not lke race high head chopping sound
I test-ridden one with an Akra exhaust. It's quite loud to be honest.

I like it but don't wanna spend 8 grand. Had Termignoni on my 1260S

@@SimonKralik5 to budes musiet investovat do ktorejkolvej z 2004 😅 ale pri takych km je tam urcite vymena rozvodovej retaze, kontrol ventilov, kompresie, loziska v krku, v kolesach a pod

Nice overview of the Bike and enjoyed your commentary. I have returned to riding after a 30 year break and picked up a 2024 CBR650R (without the e-clutch). I did add the race pack, so got the quickshifter and cosmetics. I came from 2 strokes, so the inline 4 is why I chose it as its more like 2 bikes. Super easy and relaxed under 6k and then above 6k you get a different bike. Agree the e-clutch is a great invention and if I was commuting it would be a no brainer. However for me it sticks out too far and makes the aesthetics slightly off. I disagree on the styling side, I think it looks amazing and have to look at back at it and grin. The tail is much better than the old one. Maybe in a few years I will go for a fireblade, but for now its a great all round bike.
