Subscribed. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. You might just convince me to do something like this on my 62 instead of rebuilding the Y block and 4 speed.
Thanks, I'm defiantly doing it the hard way but wanted something different. Nothing wrong with a Crown Vic chassis swap or even front clip swap.
@@CutWorksGarage I love it. I actually really like the rear Mustang IRS.
I'm actually in the middle of building the mounts into the frame and not using the stock mustang rear subframe. Hope to have that video out soon.
Great work!
Go for manual brakes! A proper bore master will work great.
Also, great job! Really cool
Thanks for the idea. Trying to stick with the formula of using all stock components but may have to try a different approach on the master cylinder / booster.
Huge props to you for taking on this level of complexity yourself. It's looking good!
Thanks, it's a big project but something I always wanted to do and expand my capabilities.
I like that stance too. Looking good !
Thanks, I wanted it lower than stock but still drivable.
Fantastic job. Nice with this design you can remove the body for service/repairs. Looking forward to more! 👍
Thanks, it's a big project but happy with how it's coming out.
Wow, that looks awesome, thanks for the updates, looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for the kind words!
You sir are an inspiration 🫡 really enjoying this build
Thanks for the kind words!
I watch a lot of car restoration videos and I’m sure there’s a lot of people can relate to this:I can tell with in 5 minutes or less if these people know what they’re doing,or more so if I’d let them loose on any project of mine, my this guy may end up kidnapped and locked in my garage for a month, he’s awesome very very clever guy
Thanks for the kind words. I'm no expert just trying to build some cool stuff the best I can.
Awesome work. Looks great. Love the set up
Hey thanks! Been watching yours as well, quite the epic build you got going on. Fantastic job!
Wow tremendous amount of work in one video. Really enjoying this build.
Thanks, glad you like it.
i am SO happy to see this back into production. the Galaxy project was awesome, but i'm looking to steal some ideas for my F100 build😁😁
Yes, I'm very excited to be working on it again. Thanks for following along.
Man that frame jig with angle iron supports is a great idea. I've got to build a new one for my W350 I'm definitely stealing this lol. I wish I knew this before I back halfed my s10
Thanks, no fancy frame table here. Sometimes you just have to work with what you got.
Man that’s dedication to the craft and your vision. Bravo. My only thing I’d say…. Your making a killer mod/blind/rat rod? So why not cut that dash to make the center console raise up and make it look factory? Are you trying to save the ash tray…. Lol Any who it’s kewl bro. Wish I had your patience and ability.
Actually yes, I don't want to cut up the dash. If anything I might smooth out the holes from the old control knobs as console has most of the functionality built in- although I'm having second thoughts about the Mustang column.
That surgical mask you wear when sanding won't protect you at all. Use a N95 at least. You're doing very nice work on your projects!
Thanks and yes, I need to up my PPE game
Liked and subscribed. Thanks for sharing and most importantly keeping the truck a Ford 👍
Thanks, glad you appreciate it!
you do realize rg hat you are wearing a medical face mask dont you? trhat will filter practically nothing. you need a proper dust filter with a good face fit
Thanks for your concern for my health.
@@CutWorksGarage I have been bad at using any form of dust filter throughout my life sanding or spraying but got serious about it a few years ago doing my current Marcos restoration. Those blue paper masks weren’t much use for Covid either as they only hold particles breathed out not in🥴
I love watching these come together! Help yourself to my own build blog in case it is useful to you: bamacoupe.blogspot.com
Don’t use pencil lines. Just stick a bit of painters tape next to the problem areas to remind you where they are. Pencil lines are more aggravating. Keep at it your work looks great. 👍
Yes I've used tape also. Thanks for the kind words!
use a sharpy
@@marcos3ltrv6 Thanks not a good idea, a sharpie can bleed through.
@@marcos3ltrv6 Sharpie will just come through everything you put over it except epoxy. That’s even worse than pencil .
@@CutWorksGarage Never had an issue but mainly because you sand it off anyway, I,ve not had any problems with pencil either
God work but from my expierence I suggest putting a filler skim coat over your epoxy and sand till you reach the glass high spots. Otherwise you will chase bumps and dips forever. Also I hope you waited a few days before filling after the epoxy, or the filler WILL separate. Ask me how I know! I'm looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I've used epoxy on many projects in the past so I know to leave the heat on at 70 for a few days before any filler work. As far as a skim coat, that's what the pink primer does. It's Evercoat Optix that is a high build primer that is block sanded to eliminate any minor imperfections.
i love those older galaxies. they have a great body style. this engine and tranny combo should make this a real beast. you've got a nice build here. i love watching your work. very nice.
Thanks for the kind words. It's been a big project but I'm pretty happy with how it's coming out.
What did you use for a transmission mount? Is that from the crown Vic also?
The actual mount is just a basic rubber trans mount. If you mean the cross member I custom made it from box tubing.
@@CutWorksGarage okay I know I can use the stock k member to swap my coyote with a front sump pan but I’m trying to come up with a game plan for the trans cross member
Ive been watching your videos and following the work youre doing on a friends project. 63 Galaxie. You are incredibly talented. Ive only ever seen one of these unibody fords once, about 20 years ago. My neighbor had it, along with some other really cool stuff, in his barn in Fulton county NY. I had to wonder if this was the same truck i saw all those years ago. My neighbor was a great guy, related to the racing Allisons.
Thanks for the kind words, they are both fun projects. The 61-63 unibodies are not common that's for sure. But I think it's one of the best looking designs from Ford in that era.
If this was my shop , I'd walk in the door everyday , look at this car & say ........life is f*cking good! Great work! Love this project. o7
Thanks! Building this for a friend of mine. Started out just doing the bodywork and paint but he asked if I would get it assembled too.
Finally some decent Galaxie content.
Thanks, it's progressing pretty well now. Hope to have another video soon.
Nice lift! Make jobs 1000% easier (and safer). Best thing I ever put in the garage. Worst part is everyone wants to use it lol.
Thanks! Yea a game changer!
Following along on this incredible build...great job !
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you are enjoying it!
i'm gonna miss the updates to this project. i have a '66 that i want to start on real soon. this was my inspiration! fortunately, i have a fraction of the work that you are encountering with your '63. i want to do a crown vic front end with a thunderbird (cougar, mk viii) IRS, a 4.6 32v modular motor with a T5. i've subscribed and i'm looking forward to any updates.
Thanks, sounds like a great project. I'll be posting vids of the Galaxie until I'm back on the truck
loving the videos. keep😊it up. have you thought about recessing the firewall insted of an access panel? also, give some thought to a remote tranny cooler with a fan, possibly under the bed or cab. as far as the seat goes, i tried to fit 2020 charger seats in my '66. no go. too thick. but on the ford truck enthusiast forum, one of the guys had a similar situation. he cut down the top of the seat so it would move farther back. i thought about it, but it was a lot of work.
I actually ended up moving the whole body back on the frame just over an inch fir more firewall clearence. Refused to give up an ich of leg room lol

Nice work
Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out.
That's an outstanding job on those floors. Not a thing wrong with using what you got to make them. Having a 63 Galaxie looks like I'll be looking out for the next videos as well
Thanks, I've tried to upgrade over the years but need more space lol.
That's coming along very nicely. Bummed it's going on the back burner but looking forward to seeing it finished up next year...
Thanks, I'm planing on doing a separate playlist for the Galaxie project. It's about 80% done. Mostly electrical and plumbing left to do.
Wow those floor panels came out great!
Thanks, they're not perfect but they'll do.
I like what your doing with the suspension I’ve seen another one with a complete chassis swap this is way more original to the truck it self I like it
Thanks, probably not the easiest way to do it but I think it will be worth it in the end.
Such a cool build. Cant wait to see it all finished and runnin…👍
Thanks, it will be a long process but it will get done.
If you need a little more height check if there are any spindles with a different height.
Thanks, it should be good. I might build the suspension attachment point right into the new frame and that would eliminate some of the low structure. The headers hang down pretty bad, might look into swapping them to something with more ground clearence.
Bro. At the beginning I,m practically yelling get an air blower
nice set of performance headers is there enough room
Thanks, yes they fit quite well. They do hang down a bit more than I like but no more than they did on the Mustang
Just found your videos Sir yes messy job how good is that epoxy primer enjoy your videos and the effort you make looking forward to your body work repairs Sir love the running gear powerful thanks for sharing good video quality and teaching thank you.
Thanks for the kind words. The epoxy is Southern Polyurathenes. It's a high quality primer but at a reasonable price. I've used it on many projects with great results. I believe in always coating bare metal with epoxy before using body filler to keep any rust spots that might have been missed in check.
I'm sure the spot welds had lead filler.
Actually no they didn't. I've seen other unrestored trucks and talked to other builders and there was no bodywork done prior to paint so the spot welds were left exposed.
I am so glad I live in Arizona, Looking forward to seeing more progress!
Thanks. Yes the Northeast is rough on old vehicles. This one did come from down south though so it would have been much worse if it live up here all it's life.
Custom Cab trim holes.... you putting all the trim back on?? Progress! I like it.
Thanks, it's coming along but it's going to take a while. That's part of the reason I'm doing these videos is so people can get a feel for the grueling amount of work that goes into one of these projects. Not sure about the trim. I have all of it but may not use it.
Looking pretty good!
Thanks!
Thats going to be sweet! Dig the body style and paint color.Hope you leave the paint and patina like it is. Awesome!
Thanks! Sadly I needed to strip it down. There's a lot of structural rot in the cowl, bed sides and roof so it would be patchwork anyway.
Nice! Big Back Window truck also! I have that aluminum piece for below the back window.... but, I have a lot of Slick stuff. Cheers and Subscribed. think I'll go work on my truck now.
Thanks, the truck has some history for me so I want to try and save it. I have the large trim piece but just picked up a nicer one. Glad you got inspired to work on yours, that's what it's all about!
That’s a lotta work! Kudos for your persistence.
Thanks, I guess having a bit of ocd helps keep me going lol.
Beautiful
Thanks, long ways to go.
I'm thinking there should be a guest appearance from, well I dunno, maybe a fiance💍
Well she'll need a hazmat suit to come in the shop lol
@@CutWorksGarage 🤣 well she would rock it if so!
