This video came at a perfect time! I have a small secretary desk that I want to do something similar to. I've never painted anything before. And on a budget I want to prepare for what supplies and things I need. And then to decide what color to use! My living room is very colorful with a teal couch cover and red blanket over a chair and a multi colored rug with teal/blue/red/orange/yellow. So I love the color shifting waxes so that it can tie into everything! My walls are grey (which I now hate and need to repaint probably a cream shade to be more light and neutral). I love how you did an accent color on the bottom! I could do that as well as the interior of the secretary! I don't know if this is an ADHD thing, but I get overwhelmed with the idea of things...so getting the list of supplies and figuring out the process can usually detour me from moving forward. But I really really want to do this! lol

That wax is AMAZING!! What a beautiful shimmer and shine it gives! I have a comfy chair, acquired at Goodwill for $10... 15 years ago, I used acrylic paint with fabric medium to paint it a gorgeous PURPLE color. I MUST buy Ursula or Delphine and perhaps Dragon Queen, to experiment and change up the whole look. I can't wait to try it!

Is there anything you don’t recommend using these on? How long is the cure or set time? Can I seal leather after using these? See, I have so many questions 🤔

OMG! I can so identify with what you are saying about ADHD. You are spot on. I don’t have a lot of unfinished projects, maybe 5. However, I have hundreds if not thousands of dollars in unused supplies that I purchased with a project in mind then forgot about it. The train left the station without me. 😂

Have you ever worked on rustic furniture? The wood is not painted but very waxy. Can these shifters go on that type of finish?

We had our two sofas and foot stool painted from red to brown cost us 950 euros to get this guy in and honestly the paint lasted two weeks it to was terrible! I dont know what he used but it just didnt stay on it came off on our clothes. You literally couldnt sit on the sofa...in the end we got rid of them and bought new ones I wished I had never had it done in the first place because the new sofas were horrible too...seats way to small!

I did that this morning....my builders broke a huge wood chandelier that was hanging in the garage when we purchased the house. I said to them when they were taking it down please dont break it because I have an idea for it. Of course they broke 3 of the arms on one side. So I ordered some mitre glue (just like the old super glue) and fixed it and then I spray painted it 4 times with white paint (it was an ugly gold. This morning I thought I am going to add some colour with acrylic paints i have...totally cocked it up with the acrylic paints and had to respray it with white...so back to the drawing board because i want to add in some decoupage and now I just dont know! Just to say that I love the piece its beautiful....love the blue my favourite colour and it looks amazing like a beautiful semi precious stone!

Why not lay the piece of furniture flat on the floor to work on...much easier
