What's the point of a how to video if you aren't going to show us how you did it? Pointless video & a waste of everyone's time.
Hey thank you for watching and sorry it didn’t meet your expectations, what specific questions do you have about the process? The title does not say ‘how to’ it is just about replacing them from my perspective but I’d be happy to help with any questions you might have!
I open this video to watch how u remove the grille but u made that fast so skip
@@abdulazizalfarran6417 hi there sorry about that, what part do you have a question about?
@@LastFrontierGarage the part how u unstall the grille
@@abdulazizalfarran6417 you can see very quickly in the timelapse at about 1:58, it is just sort of clipped in, try and carefully pry grill body away from the vehicle to see if it gives, if it doesn’t look for any small screws that might be fastening it. There could be old zip ties or something else that might be holding it on; inspecting with a bright flashlight is also helpful when trying to figure some of these puzzles. Good luck and next time I’ll do better and film every part!
What fixed your random cylinder misfires? This is what I have and have done: 1998, 175,000 miles, 3.3L. All stock. Driven like an old lady would drive it. Has thrown the EGR solenoid code since I've had it, the last 10,000 miles. I don't have emissions and don't perceive any driving or fuel economy issues so I've left it be. Mine has never died or not started. It is having intermittent random misfires though (P0300). Pretty rough at times, but only when it's not idling and being driven above 1,600ish RPMs. Gets worse as more load and RPMs is needed. Doesn't appear to be anything in distributor, plugs, or wires (all newish and coil pack checks good). It is worse sometimes than others, and present cold or hot. It seems to get worse after fuel is added too, but then settles down some after 20 or so miles. Coil checked good with 0.6 ohms primary winding, and 11,780 ohms secondary winding. Cap and rotor are good and only 10,000 miles used. So are plugs and wires. PCV valve good. No loss of any oil or coolant. Air intake filter new. Sound familiar to anyone? What fixed your constant random misfires? It does not misfire at idle RPMs, or while coasting down roadway either at any speed. Thanks!
Hi there, sounds like you’re on top of things! On this one we had a P0340, and didn’t come across a P0300. It’s possible you might have some fuel injectors clogging and causing some misfires due to lean fuel condition? Have you checked the timing? These distributors seem to have issues related to the internal cam position sensor, you’d probably see a P0340 but I would have that on my list as a potential issue that causes runability problems. Do you have a scan tool that can tell you live cylinder misfire readings? The next time it happens you can try to isolate which cylinders are missing and then get a little closer to issue. Sounds like it could be fuel related or ignition related, if it were a mechanical issue you might see specific cylinder misfire codes. Good luck!
@@LastFrontierGarage thanks brother

In the 1984 l83 corvette, what are the specific places in the intake manifold where there are vacuum leaks????? Is it advisable to apply silicone under the TBI packaging??? And it is advisable to apply silicone on the intake manifold cover gasket??? What packaging is recommended????
@@angelfox1864 hi there, as you may know there is a lower intake manifold that is bolted to the heads, then a cover plate that is bolted to it, then both TBI’s are bolted to it. New gaskets for each layer and properly torturing the bolts should provide adequate sealing against vacuum leaks. If you have vacuum leaks I would follow steps to isolate the location and then determine if it’s possible loose bolts, maybe a crack in the intake itself. Let me know what you find and I can try and help. It’s possible to have leaks in the throttle bodies themselves which can be remedied by the rebuild kit you see in video and again if any metal parts are cracked you would need to address those. You shouldn’t need any silicone at all when sealing everything up.
Definitely would like to have seen you remove the master cylinder. You took the time to show everything else around the house not related to the title Brake Master Cylinder on a Subaru but seriously... nothing related to the BMC removal, bench bleed process, installation of caliper bleeding? That's kind of the point of videos which is to see / watch the process and pain points so we can benefit from your experience and challenges, etc. in the video! Not showing the whole process is not helpful. Although I have 3 Subaru(s) (01 & 2x02), I've never had to remove a BMC from my Subaru(s) (all 22 Yr old BMC) so I was hoping you didn't skip the BMC removal / install process.
Hey man, thanks for the comment! I definitely need to get better at filming everything but usually I’m in a hurry and I’m more or less filming this on the side and posting and I’m sure a lot of it isn’t helpful but it’s also my hobby so sorry it’s not as professional as you would like.
Did you watch the entire video I think in the middle I show the process of bleeding the brakes, although it may not be on film, but I do explain it. I would have to sit down and watch the entire video since this was so long ago. I don’t have everything memorized. Removing the master cylinder is very simple and self-explanatory, but you’re totally right I should be filming everything that’s in the title Did you have any questions that I can try and answer for you?

Hey there! We’re in Alaska, that’s awesome, love these vintage motorcycles !!
Did I miss the part or a video on how to adjust the valves for up and down ? I just bought a exact unit you have and installed it today I can get it to go left and right but when you try to lift the plow it is acting like its by passing fluid the up ram lifts to full ram out no load and if you hook the plow chain on the ram lifts till the chain is tight and thats it won't lift plow off ground and you can push the ram back down by hand So cable adjust or valve adjustment or both ?
Sounds like your lift valve is out of adjustment allowing fluid to bypass lift ram and back into reservoir. Check out page 6 of guide for trouble shooting: library.westernplows.com/westernplows/pdffiles/13497_020088.pdf
Read the guide carefully, I think adjust lift valve first then fine tune with cable adjustments

Good information….however we didn’t show any of our first timers how to remove any of the above……
Hey, thank you for the comment, sorry about that! I shouldn’t assume that everyone knows the basics when it comes to removing the wheel and brake caliper. If it was a more complex design, I probably would’ve filmed it. If you’re working on anything right now, is there any questions that I could answer?
Nice job on the install. The next time you have that problem, you can just release the lock clip on the pin of the broken wire and repair the wire instead of buying the whole connector. It will be far more reliable. Also instead of cutting the wires you again can release the Pin Locks on each wire and slide them out and do the same for the new connector and push the pins into the new connector. That way you don't have to cut any wires and it's 10 times faster. Again great job. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

Damn, that was a tough one. I would have just shortened the drill bit. Modify a tool to get job done was a lesson an old time model maker taught me. As for magnet, been stuck there. Planned a new tool where I inserted a stack of small magnets in a tube. Add a female thread on other side for a Welding rod [ with threads ] for a fishing handle. Welding rod could be bent, shortened etc based on location to grab a part. My son figured out a fix while I was building this tool. Parts still here in my to do tool pile.
Great advice, thank you for sharing!
@@LastFrontierGarage Seen a few other videos on that pin shearing off. Going to replace mine with one made from 17-4 SS and harden it to 43 R-C that will be much tougher than the steel pin. What is that top connector/harness called???
Could you be more specific? If you let me know what time the video is at, I can look to see what connector/harness you’re talking about.
Traditionally, the wiring harness is part of the vehicle that the connector, that is being replaced, plugs in to. If you’re asking, what is the name of the connector that is being replaced? It is a universal connector so it doesn’t have an exact name. If you talk to a parts store, it will be an eight pin connector or however, many pins/wires that the connector can house. Some applications don’t use all of the wires.
I think this one was a 10 pin connector, and again not all of the pins were needed for this job. Just let me know if you’re talking about something else and if you give me the timestamp, I can check it out

Hey, is there a chance you could show me the solenoid you use for this plow? Also the joystick or controller. I have this same plow and I can’t get it to work right. The pump stays on continuously depending on how I wire it and I get no power if I wire it the way the schematic says…

man my 98 is having shit problems sludge in the oil engine , & white smoke coming from my exhaust
Sounds like your cylinder head gaskets are failing, that is happening to this one as well; it’s been parked waiting to begin work on it.
Had the same problem on my 97 pour some blue devil head gasket sealer
My 1992 GMC 350 truck, was designed specifically to get way better mileage than 1960s 1970s trucks, producing 18 to 21 MPH on vacations driving on freeways. Any deviation drops the mileage way down to 12 MPH. I installed an Edelbrock intake manifold which has a slightly higher deck rebuilt the factory Rochester throttle body produced horrible mileage and less horsepower and torque. Cleaned the original intake manifold put that back in then used two throttle body spacers, way better MPH and horsepower and torque. Also, people will use Fel Pro gaskets on the GM intake manifolds, I wrote to Fel Pro said what Truck I have, and they said DO NOT USE OUR GASKETS, we do not make gaskets for those TBI vehicles, the rear port on ours is made wrong, then said DO NOT use silicon on the OEM gaskets either, after 7 Auto shops changed my Intake Manifold gaskets and failed, I finally have a perfect running truck after years of suffering and wasted fuel. Sharing to help others.
Wow, what an ordeal glad you got it sorted out. Thank you for sharing!
This makes no sense; I buy the rebuild kits for throttle bodies like this. The regulator springs in each of several regulator rebuild kits are all different lengths ordered for the same 1992 GMC 350 truck. I understand if the tension is the same should not matter, but still I would think every kit should have the same length regulator springs in these kits.
What I have done before to block off the EGR Valve, made a blank plate of course, but cut shaved the botton off of the EGT valve, making the thickness of the EGR bottom plate thinner, then mounted the blank plate and EGR on top with factory bolts, made it look like a working EGR to pass visual if I ever had to smog the vehicle.
Nice!
Did you lower the subframe?
Yes, but just loosened bolts
@@LastFrontierGarage by just loosened bolts do you mean took the front 2 completely out and just loosened the back 2?
@@rumblertag1419 when I did this job I also had to work on the transmission so I lowered it in a few different ways. If you’re just doing the heads, I would try just lowering the frame without removing any bolts and if you can’t access what you need to then go ahead and lower further.
I did have trouble properly torquing the rear head, so in the future if I had to do this job over, I might just try to pull the engine because usually the oil pan leaks as well and it a few other things to fix while the engines out but of course that’s a pain in the butt. pulling an engine.
