I’m a bit late viewing this but better late than never! It’s a superb video, shot from a great vantage point and with equipment that gives lovely clear images and sound. Of course the subject matter helps and we’re watching well drilled guards and listening to two professional bands faultlessly playing some lovely pieces. LOL. I only played woodwind, and that was hard enough. The strange sounds the bassoon makes whilst marching are like a dying elephant. French Horn is a rasping nightmare - evidently. Only in the British army can it be made to work!

When the guards were trained at the guards depot Pirbright there would be about four or five platoons passing out on the same day. I know the army is shrinking but this is taking the piss. If a war broke out we would really struggle to muster a fighting force today.
