Kaleidescope Intro DRUM LESSON - Blink 182
The song is Kaleidescope from the Blink 182 album "Neighborhoods".
A fun kinda groove that I worked out how to play when I was away from my kit for a few days - I think it's correct, or at least close enough :).

A BASIC guide for those learning how to search and destroy annoying frequencies which are making your snare sound worse in the mix. 1. Boost frequency with NARROW Q (narrow peak). 2. Sweep frequencies to find unpleasant frequency. 3. "Destroy" by taking the volume down to minimum. 4. Check for harmonics at half and double the frequency value. This is horrible, imo. You're extracting too much important frequency information and should consider fixing it before recording through damping, etc.

Well done man, well explained. I'm a left hand drummer it took me a while to get the intro of this song, but the blast 4x strokes with the bass drum back into triplets it was a tough part but I eventually got it I used heel toe to make it easier. Thanks for sharing man. From Sydney Australia

no, it’s not. I’m 7 years late, but what this guy is talking about is metric modulation. He did a good job explaining, just used the wrong term.
