Do you clear cut or just take trees of a specific size like 16” and bigger?? Wouldn’t you normally start at the back of the property so you don’t gotta drive through the tops
Most jobs no smaller than 14"
Trust in God and his son Jesus, not superstition.
Yes sir
You interested in buying some logging equipment international eagle truck couple log trailers
Right now got all I need. If things change I'll let you know
Symphony of beauty
Sounds healthy and happy!
Sounds kind like our timberjack 608s
How do you like the 608?
@ its a very nice machine we got it cheap only has 6,000 hours on it
@Gabesaviation nice I hope this is a good one
Snow here in duffield VA
Probably the same storm that was in California
Hi. Glad for your freeze. We know It’s hard working in the freezing and thawing. New sub here!
Yeah winter hard to deal with. Been watching your videos I enjoy them keep making saw dust.
@ you too my friend!
And thanks for watching!!
Hello. I just located your channel. Nice load of logs! We are in Ky. New subscriber!
Thank you sir ky. Got some good timber
Kinda looks like the city or town workers. Should be doing that right on the side of the road like that. It’s a huge hazard especially if a car went off the road and ran into it by chance Send them a bill lol
We've had strong winds for five days straight and temps in single digits so no mud in my neck of the woods.
Wow got to be hard to work like that, be safe out there and keep making saw dust .
@Rippylogging its not safe with widow makers flying in the air and cold temps. Been sharping a lot of chains and doing maintenance. High winds ended today with high temps of 30 so getting back to normal.
@StoptheLie yeah I found out normal good
@Rippylogging i like seeing wood shavings, when i see saw dust, it's time to put another chain on - ha, ha,ha Be safe too!
That shallow root ball was bigger than it looked and it proved to be heavy. Too bad you snapped the cable, that sucks.
Yeah I hated that. Ha
What size cable are you running on that skidder ?
@TheWildWestMill 3/4 inch
@ we always used 5/8 found it was just as strong but would bend the 3/4 and 7/8 I found would kink then would break. Maybe you have had the same experience. I know that’s a big machine
@TheWildWestMill think I need smaller cable
That's a nice load of logs.
Thank you.should have several good videos this year. If you like, Appreciate if you subscribe
Sweet video my friends 👍🏻 Be safe out there.. skidder sounded like she was mis firing ??
Thank you sir, yeah for some reason when motor at ease starts misfiring
Please get him a new chain or a file
Absolutely
Wow!
Are there scales between you and the yard? Looks heavy
Not over Weight
Hey buddy you should try making longer videos. Just edit a few short ones together to make them between 14 and 22 minutes. I think you will get more subscribers and views
Okay.I appreciate the information, will do I need more of both.
@ when you do get to 1000 subscribers for RUclips to put ads in your videos they need to be 14 minutes long minimum
Thank you sir, I really do appreciate it. I don't know much about how this works.
@@Rippylogging do you have RUclips studio that’s how you keep track out what you need to do
@@TheWildWestMill actually I do
Man! That last one was a nail-biter! I think I would have put a cable on it and pulled it. Good job getting it down though.
Thank you. Made me Tighten up ha
Happy new year to you all 😊
Happy New year
That skidder man is greener than green..lol
Good job you all 😊
Thanks for the info. Keep us posted.
Those are some nice ones. How many bdf you think?
Should be 4000 ft or more
Not much there....
Allows you to get stuff done without using a winch.
when you were trying to pull the big tree and spinning the tires- how about with the skidder braked, pull the booms all the way up and back thus pulling the tree a few feet using boom power, then lower the booms as the skidder drives forward the few feet gained, then apply brakes and boom up and back again, etc etc. until the tree is unstuck then hopefully drive away with it. We do residential treework and that method works well with our wheeled loader chained to large stubborn butt logs. Nice channel!
Thank you ,yeah that's what he should have done. Have to make sure he starts doing it now because as we all know it's going to be wet for a few months more than likely
chains mr chains
why didnt you want to fix the tube that was in it or put a new tube in it?
Was going to put a new tube but tire man told me to try a valve stem first
Those tires are always tubeless. You need a tube when the tire fails, sometimes.
Yeah it happens
Dang😳
Hard to get out
differential not working
Clear cut job
Can't wait to see more videos
I have run a 450 timber Jack. Pull three of them if you had chains. Same thing with the 648e I ran. Ran 540 b cable skidder. 9 snares means 9 + trees every hitch. You guys are fighting it way too hard... Come up to northern Maine in January. 18 below zero in the morning. You would love it... Pulp truck had to have steer chains.
Couldn't take working that cold. You guys are Tough
Yeah. They are called tire chains! Work excellent 👌
@@jessefarrington6029 thank you so much
Why not run chains and quit screwing around
Yeah going to call some equipment dealers see if I can get some used ones
Wet here in VA too....
Yeah probably can't work tomorrow here
Good job you all 😊 keep up the good work you all
Just subbed👍🏻🪵 keep at it fellas. Be safe out there
Thank you sir
Nice video were u guys out of
We're in Tennessee
@Rippylogging nice were at

Middle tennessee
Nice bell!
Thank you, it does a good job
Put some chains on it
Yeah need to
@@Rippylogging it would help you so much
Use the winch , drop pull up winch up and go, need a topper too. Dam yall bringing lap wood too, that will pull it to death. Keep getting up !
I had skidder pull top out of bad place, easier to top
Good looking reclamation especially for the season. I’m bout to move to another job myself. I’m just gonna cut a small poplar job over the winter then I’ll move on a big hardwood job this spring
Sounds very smart sir. Winter logging here just pay the bills .ha
We used to winch trees off of power lines and fences. My foot would shake on the gas pedal I was so nervous. It was always a good feeling when they came down safe.
Yes sir, always great to see them go away from fences, rds. And power lines
That tree looks like Billy's sycamore tree he had to cut down in the book "where the Red Fern grows". Good luck.
Thats what you want there!
Absolutely hope to get it.
@Rippylogging hope you do buddy 👍
@@M_Teeple.... thank you
I’m old enough to remember when a load of Pine Logs would bring more than a load of white oak.
@Rippylogging your welcome
