I am trying to get my head around the the audio routing... So the daw (vst's) feeds into the looper but you can only record the master output of the RC via the mixer? So the device won't multi-track? If the rc doesn't multi track then that's a major flaw tbh..

what kind of software is it in the laptop?

Short answer. Yes get the Boss RC 202. If you can afford it, then get RC 505. If you want a cheap instant looper for on the go then get the Koala Sample and cheap add on packs. Also get a USB C to Mic cable and open up some really cool possibilities.

Hi MVNDA Finally a decent tutorial about this looper. Super thanks! I recently bought one because I want to further explore my beatbox with it. But then... My girlfriend still had a decent synthesizer in the attic and I made the connection with the looper... I realize its added value, but also my limitations in the field of music and piano playing. Last year I enrolled in the local academy to learn (classical) piano and music theory. As a result, I now also have a digital piano from Kawai. Now, after a year, I want to go back to the looper and start recording (basis stuff offcourse). I finally get to my question, sorry for the long intro. :) What do I need to record? What software do you recommend? I'm totally looking for a clear answer here. Can you help?

sorry, i didn't understand when you said you put the rc202 output on the audio interface, but you use the arturia minilab in the pc too? so you record de audio using the usb cable from the boss rc202 or from the audio interface?

So it means that i need to buy separate receiver U3C for the condenser and U3 for Dynamic microphone?

Hi. Thanks for the vid. I have 6 percussion instruments I'd like to loop so I can play a 7th instrument along with the loop. Could I use the 202 for this, or are there not enough channels? Would I need the 505? Thanks.

I have an RC 202 and am trying to integrate it into my live setup. Coming back to your channel I realized you are sending audio from your DAW ( protools ) to the 202, via USB. I haven’t seen if you’ve made a pt 2 yet - but am wondering how to send audio via USB (?) I am using Ableton thx ! 🙏

Thank you Mvnda so much for your videos, theyre top quality! I'm wondering if you use ProTools as your master MIDI clock, or your RC-202? I'm just getting setup with Ableton, RC-202, and a digital keyboard, and trying to figure out if there's reasons one way or another to choose the RC-202 vs Ableton as the tempo/sync leader. I think I want to have the RC-202's internal clock as leader, and have Ableton as external control/follower. This will let me set the tempo on the RC-202, and Ableton's start/stop will follow the RC-202's start/stop (starts when any loop starts, stops when both track 1 and track 2 are stopped). For clarity this is my settings: RC-202's Setup->MIDI->MIDI Sync (Syn)->Internal (int). And then Ableton Preferences->Link,Tempo & MIDI -> Input Ports -> Check Sync for RC-202; and then in Ableton still, turn ON External Sync (which tells Ableton to follow the MIDI sync from RC-202). I did google that for some performers this is an issue because having Ableton use External sync "deactivates Lives plugin delay compensation". Im hoping that's minor though. So I'm just curious if you have the same (except in proTools) setup or something else for your MIDI clock. Thanks so much!

Hello Manda! I bought an RC 202 Loop Station... I very happy, (I followed your advices) but I can't find one funcion, in fact, I don't even know if it exists... It is a function to waiting before start to record. Like I press record boton, but until there is no sound comes into the console it doesn't record anything, a funcion in anothers pedals Boss RC. I read the manual for parameters and functions and I can't find. Do you know if the 202 have it?

Hey, thank u so much for this video! Amazing! I have been using Kaos Pad, and in it you can apply some effects to what u have already recorded and then you can re record it to another track, now with the effects. Is it possible with the rc 202? 💌
