'Overdrive' is where the autobot logo starts to glow and pulsate fast. During Overdrive your attacks and overall movement is faster. It's similar to how 'Freeflow Combat' works in the Batman Arkham series.

The point of me showing Elden Ring -> Dark Souls -> Monster Hunter was to show that the "Souls" style of combat is not anything new or impressive. The "Souls" series has made people think that action games should behave like them. Even though action games, before "Souls" became popular, games were trying to be faster and more wild. (Look at how we went from DMC1 -> DMC4 or God of War -> God of War III). Platinum is the only pseduo-name brand company still pushing this fast and wild mentality which is why I love their games so much. I wish they got more recognition (other than Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising, which I deliberately did not show in this video).
