Pull Yourself Together 🥀 But Not Too Fast
🚂 “Margaret, pull yourself together! You’ve only just been hit by that train.” Resilience isn’t about rushing recovery-it’s about giving yourself time and space to heal. Real resilience is sustainable, and it’s about caring for yourself and others thoughtfully.
🌟 Why Recovery Takes Time
When something shocking or traumatic happens, it’s tempting to push through too quickly. But rushing your recovery can lead to long-term struggles. True resilience means slowing down, tending to yourself and others, and building sustainable strength.
🔥 Steps to Care for Yourself:
1. Monitor Your Life 🟡 - Assess what’s in your care: kids, pets, work, or other responsibilities. What resources do you have? Simpl...

Feeling stuck! Unable to get things done that seems simple like decluttering. I feel overwhelmed by too many challenges in my life and worrying about my future which looks bleak. I wake up with dread every morning. I've been doing some Christian mindfulness meditations and prayer, which is helping. I need to find some grit though! 🙏

I am sure glad you have some practices and that they help. They sure help me! I think some of the things here that might be most helpful for you is the core development playlist and the playlist about my neurographica teacher’s work. She is great and her work has changed my life. If you don’t mind I will pray for you too. Thank you for commenting.

I definitely struggle with this as I have CPTSD, but I love that you said practicing being an observer is practicing resilience. And I appreciate the professional help comment, I wouldn’t be where I’m at without it. Great video looking forward to future ones

Mine is complex as well. It can be a real struggle when my nervous system is trained to disregulate across the board on most of the topics that show up in life. I Am glad you are here. Thank you. How did you find me?

One thing I want to add is one of my issues with cultivating an observer when I am stuck in fight or flight my observation of self is also hyper vigilant. This is why I ask people to include things help comfort and being a sense of safety within self. Resource ourselves in our own body. Then later work on the things where there is deregulation after some things are mapped out.

@@SilkThreadResiliency thank you so much for sharing. I feel silly because I wrote my comment before you mentioned in your video that you too have CPTSD. That really resonates with me because I feel like my theme has always been life itself is a trigger for dysregulation. You happened to come up on my feed and I took it as a sign to watch. I’m happy I did

@@SilkThreadResiliency thank you again for sharing. That takes so much strength. I feel like I have improved so much becoming the observer. However, when I am triggered subconsciously and cannot pinpoint what it is, it doesn’t cross my mind to observe and instead yes, I fall into hyper vigilance mode and freeze. It’s been very intense lately.

@@tracydipietro4556I get that way. I have a doctor that does stellate ganglion nerve blocks on me. Helps make my body home again. I also do a five element acupuncture treatment for possession. In my tradition possession any condition that your spirit isn’t in control of you. For me PTSD episode and being stuck in fight or flight counts and so does migraines. The treatments help. I will possibly do a video that is a skill that is pretty amazing that I learned from a Sergeant Major in passing. It sounds funny but I take three raisins (or whatever that is similar) and take three minutes to eat them, getting completely involved in my sensory experience of that. There is a playlist here that you might like with Neurographica. This has helped me a lot. Thank you for being here… You inspire me.
