Vale of White Horse Railway

The Vale of White Horse Railway is a 16mm to the foot scale garden railway in Oxfordshire. Using 45mm gauge track, it represents a fictitious 2'6" gauge preserved railway running between West Lockinge and Uffington, through the towns/hamlets of Wantage, Kingston Lisle and Woolstone.

Three passenger sets

The three main passenger sets are seen in use in their full formations for the first time on April 2nd. This is the result of the work over the winter to create the correct balance in the sets. Set A is seen leaving West Lockinge behind ‘Robert Loyd-Lindsay’. This has been bolstered by saloon Aethelred (109), which isn’t normally part of this rake. Formation is 109, 144, 114, 124*, 128, 111, 11...
First services for the second corridor connected set

March 12th saw the first two train operation of 2022, with both sets being formed of corridor connected sets for the first time - Obs 102 and service car 117 making their debut. The sets were formed of five coaches each; the full length will be seven for each set. Locobox Afrikaans ‘Mufasa’ and Roundhouse SRRL 24 ‘R W Potter’ provided the haulage.

Roundhouse ‘Karen’ working trains in the snow on January 24th 2021. The loco, lined by Berry Hill Works, is hauling four of the VWHR’s corridor connected coaches. Rostered locos for the service trains on Sunday 27th September were the two Garratts, ‘Robert Loyd-Lindsay’ and ‘Chhogori’. An issue with the radio on ‘Chhogori’ saw ‘Cyclops’ deputise, the two trains being seen in the afternoon sun.

Wonderfull. I have this loco seen it by Jan Rottier his home. The builder of this beautiful loco Thomas 2❤ i have that time plans to sale this loco from him, but the money whats te problem that moment. I have self my Tinkerbell COR build it but i like very well this beautiful Thomas 2 ❤
