They are fake runes, but they're actually Englsih, saying "year 982." If you would like to learn about real runes, look up "elder futhark" online. Don't trust anything that references Ralph Blum or that claims there is a "blank rune."

I just love the conception of the video. The song is nice, I really like it but the construction of the video is so nice, at least to me that I love medieval and eartler Scandinavian literature. Liv Kristine as a Freyja wannabe and that lovely golden Ygddrasil are just beautiful. Actually the sunset idea reflects a lot to Valhalla. Thanks for posting.

I agree this song is pretty basic. However, her voice melts with the music and makes it addictive. She sings very well. I personally really like it.

Yawn. I wonder how Nicholas Barker ever ended up in this band and I am certainly not surprised he left. He must have been bored to death by doing this kind of drumming.

Symphonic Metal is the pop/rock of metal (specially female fronted). I don't know where you got the idea that its for "intellectuals"

Symphonic metal seems to be more of a hidden talent that has been kept somewhat out of the mainstream. I have been finding that it is much better than the standard metal and has much more substance and delivers where simple metal falls short (Nightwish / Therion / Leaves Eyes) are some of my new favorites all though I favor Nightwish much more. Please send my suggestions if you have any. Thanks.

I actually have this album in my collection. I did let one of my teachers listen to a few tracks on it. She liked that it's not like the "Metal" stereotype of vocalizing. Then again I did scare the shit out my class by playing Dimmu Borgir... that's a story for a different day. BOT: I like this song but my favorite track was "The Thorn" because it had a male vocal track (Vocals of Liv's husband).
