The thing with Russia,USSR and these days the Russian Federation. There is a lot of people also a big group of Finno Ugric peoples that had to submit to different crooks that ruled during different ages,kingdoms. In a way they have a ,defeated people United. A bit like America and some other countries with minorities that suffered. Russia Federation should be divided,and stop their wars against anyone that they feel could be a threat. The Swedish government declared on 16 February 1940 that Sweden would not help Finland with regular troops.[xix] The King of Sweden gave a statement supporting the government's statement on 19 February 1940. The Soviet Officers were incompetent, they got their jobs through cronyism, the soldiers were poor peasant boys who didn't want to be there, the equipment was not maintained, the farther they advanced the less fuel/food they had. The Soviets made the same mistake with Afghanistan, and now Russia is making the same mistake in Ukraine. The Finland war left USSR unprepared to fight Hitler, and something tells me the Ukraine campaign will be the end of Russia.

People often forget that the soviets were just as much aggressors as the axis countries were. I hate that Finland sided with Germany but they didn't really have a choice. After all, the western countries sided with the soviets, so what's the difference?

As a loving neighbor of Finland I can tell you, dont make them angry and for the love of god, whatever you do, dont you dare think about fighting them.
