I have only found out about this movie in early 2021, but now it's my comfort movie, and it makes me so happy. Currently I am having some problems with my friends, but listening to this song just makes me happy. Anytime I hear it, it transports me to that little town with the ocean side view. If i'm feeling sad, I will just watch this. Thank you so much.

This particular rendition of this particular piece is my go-to when I have a headache - it invariably makes it better. There's something about the calm nostalgic music and the beautifully clean lines of the performance which are not rushing anywhere or embellishing anything. Thank you.

I had just lost my black cat, i named Jiji after the Jiji in this film, so listening to this song as well as the others in the movie make me happy as well as sad. I grew up with this movie and it holds a special place in my heart as well as my cat. This will always be my favorite movie of all time. I plan to watch it tomorrow. I always watch it when I'm depressed. It helps my mood. I always feel better after. Perhaps fort birthday this year I'll ask for a blueray copy of this and My Neighbor Totoro.
