Lovely drive / scenic tour. I like the part where you could see through the slats. Of course. loved both covered bridges too.
Thanks Sue!
Georgia would be closed with that much snow!
Ha Ha! And here we've been saying it's been a pretty good winter because of not having much snow. I think I'd rather be in Georgia for the winter 😄
Very nice! It's Marcy!
Thanks Marcy!

Thanks Dawn. I'd love to visit New Zealand. It's so beautiful. But too long a flight for me and Mozzie 😊
That's awesome thank you. Will be sure to visit if we make it out that way this summer.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
Do you know how old the covered bridge is? That's pretty impressive to build a wooden structure that long back in the day. Thanks for sharing this!
Hi Catherine, The bridge wasn’t covered when it was first built. Construction began in 1898 and it opened in May 1901. It was a toll bridge until 1906. Later it needed to be upgraded so they changed the piers to concrete instead of wood and covered the bridge to protect it from the weather. It was covered in 1921 so it’s been a covered bridge for over 100 years.
