WOW was I young! Lol - GREAT experience and Tony was wonderful!!
My favorite rendition of Carol of the Bells. I’ve been coming back to this video every Christmas for the past 7 years
Best version I could find on youtube. An inspiration for my choir!
Aww, thanks. We had so much fun singing it. 😊
We performed this song during my years singing with the Stillman College Concert Choir 83-87. It was a hit in our annual Christmas Concert.
Since when does the choir sing the initial solos?
Ok
I commend you for doing the rhythm right, the way Jester taught it to us at Montebello High School in 1965. All other recordings are sloppy on the rhythm. Awesome job!
Perfect for my concert tomorrow night I need to practice all day tomorrow so that I can keep everyone around me on the correct lines
Isn't it funny that all the self proclaimed hair-brained idiots come out when someone is trying to do something joyful.
The choir I'm in at my church sang it this morning. Beautiful song! I guess this is pretty much how we sound from downstairs.
The SGVCC is one of my great memories of singing with my friends over about 18 years starting with the founder Dr. Thomas Miyake to this final concert with Stef Chamberlain in 2008, This was 1 year before we moved to Idaho. Many years of great fun and friends..!!!!!
This is a minor thing, but you should change the first "Wander" to "Wonder". Good rendition of the song.
I have been looking for the calypso version of this song. Up until recently, I did not know that Jester Hairston, the man who wrote the song, wrote it originally with a calypso beat. Harry Belafonte slowed it down for his version. I saw Hairston appear on the Hour of Power TV show and he conducted the choir in the calypso version. It was wonderful, as is your version.
@02skimmy - I was told to backoff on my volume ;-) thanks for watching.
@davidsbunny01 - it's a "small world!" thanks for your comments
@OverTheMoon81 It actually sounded very good live. And "no offense", but your "peeps" who I'm assuming are, at most, high school kids, seeing as you used the word chorus instead of choir probably don't have near as much training as some of us that were actually in the SGVCC. My Aunt, for one, who was the choir's director is a very accomplished opera singer. So you might want to make sure you actually know what you're talking about before you start making digs toward well seasoned adults.
Jeff was friggin' awesome in this one. It was so much fun to perform!
@TheGruntEater Well, we definetly sounded better live!
Dude...that's me in the back left with the guys. I know...i sing tenor. I totally didn't know that this was on youtube. I loved doing this song...it was awesome!!! =)
Absolutely beautiful. How warm and comforting...The Bariton solo could be more prominent.
This is pretty good. Not as good as me
i think they are very good
Damn how old are u now
Beautiful arrangement and performance! Bravo!
super expressive. i could feel what you were singing.
