Ian Flynn's actually been there since the Archie Sonic Comics, and he had the fortune of being able to jump over to the IDW Sonic Comics as well. And now, of course, the games. He truly is one of the many things that made the quality of the Sonic franchise skyrocket to what it is now. Sonic's birthday that Rouge referred to is in fact his birthday in Sonic Generations. Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog was in fact Amy's birthday. Rouge making Shadow promise to go to Sonic's birthday is pretty much the indication that Shadow Generations is gonna end up taking place at the same time as Sonic Generations, as parallel stories and all that. Looking forward to Episode 3 and then finally, of course, the game!
