The 8th last chapter titled Liberty of Conscience Threatened names the Tyrant at the Top of all this Tyranny that the world has been experiencing these past 4 years. The chapter shows why this tyranny is happening.
Joshua Himes did a great job spreading the 1843/4 message. He later attacked Ellen White, but many years later he even sent a donation to Ellen White, and she had kind words for him. I hope to see him in heaven one day soon.

Someone wrote *"they used verses to correlate what they saw in visions"* Right, but they had the extra-biblical visions first and then assembled various verses later to confirm the visions. The visions were needed to explain how the October 23, 1844 date setting was not actually wrong. The order of events are 1) William Miller's calculations (with no visions involved). 2) Hiram Edson has a cornfield vision/revelation to offer a different take on Miller's date. 3) O. R. L. Crosier and others find various proof texts here-and-there in the bible and assemble the Sanctuary theory doctrine. 4) James White and Joseph Bates learn of it and accept it. 5) Ellen White then has a vision which confirms this new doctrine. So two separate visions were needed to confirm William Miller's calculations. Wouldn't it have been easier to just recalculate? Oh wait minute, we aren't supposed to date set to begin with. 😎

A.T. Jones, cancelled back in 1888. Writings completely relevant and amazing. E.J. Wagoner was his compadre and they were both amazing theologians, so amazing that they were cancelled and we thought that was a NEW concept!
That part of our history must be known by all Adventist. The 1888 was rejected to which sister White said that that will bring issues into the church and there is no doubt about it.

Hello, i understand that there is not much writing about that conference because they didnt have minutes of the events. I have found writings from GC 1889. To understand 1888 , its very helpful to study 1893, 1895 and 1897 AT jones audios, on these he goes deep on the concepts spoke at 1888 conference. You will be able to find all 1893 audios. Soon you will find too, 1895 and 1897 . I hope this helps.

Yes, she referred to that. But I said the best way to have better understanding of the 1888 messages is through conferences 1893 1895 1897. Sister White says that the way At Jones and Wagoner presented the message she wouldn't be able to do it. The Holy Spirit was the present, the message call him the Justice Instructor. 🌺
