1:23 omg that sound
I know this is from ‘07 but love it. I never got to ride on the grand old 747 but I love longer take off rolls. I flew last month on a 319 and 737 respectively and it had to be less than 30 second take off roll. Also these newer engines don’t feature that air conditioner compressor sound. Nice to hear that once in awhile.
good
The sound is gorgeous
Awesome sound !
There's just something so majestic about the 747, I hope they never go away, such alluring qualities that words cannot be brought to explain.
love the sound :)
Are those Pratt & Whitney engines?
+Qasim Mir Those are GE.
+raykrislianggi - AniMusic Yes, the higher pitch sound gives it away.
if those clouds were mattresses I will lay on them.
where is the plane going?
I've taken the Lufthansa 747 SFO to Frankfurt
I flew a 747 to Singapore and I recall there was a tad more room then most smaller commercial jets. It wasn't luxury, but it wasn't bad either. Just be sure to get up and move around every so often, bring a good book and some music.
I have a question to people who were flying in 747 in economy class. How much space is there when you seat. Up to the present I were flying by planes like B737 i A319, A320 (charters and lowcost airlines) etc. This year I am flying by 747 and flight will take about 8 hours and I wonder how I stand the longest in my life journey :P Can I expect more space in economy clas in B747 than i smaller planes like B737 ? By the way one way I am flying by KLM :D
Look at those wings flapping like a bird's ! Great video.
Great! Its not shaking as a lot of videos are
nice video! :)
Think of it as a car...You don't keep the accelerator pedal to the floor all of the time haha. The 'Auto-throttle' is in control of the thrust during pretty much all stages of flight. On takeoff it is set to "Takeoff Go-Around (TOGA)". This is activated at around 0:06 seconds in the video. Then it is switched to "Climb Thrust (CLB)" at around 1:28. This is done as the aircraft no longer needs full power (and it reduces wear & tear on the engines). It is all for efficiency.
These are GE engines not rolls royce.
And United uses Pratt & Whitney on their Queens. The Prat & Whitney on 747s are more high pitched and whiny and don't make that deep roaring sound like these jet engines do.
PMDG ???
Love the sound of those Rolls Royce engines.
I love this video! I am a REALLY big fan of Aviation! I want to fly ALL MY LIFE :)!!!!
Cathay Pacific and BA use RR's on their queens.
Nice takeoff
beautiful
I like the clouds, you don't have to see how high you are off the ground.
13 airbus employees dislike the real queen of the skies.
I like clouds; it gives you a feeling you're closer to the ground :)
Its nice to take off when its all dark then above the clouds its all nice and shiny and then you can see the big cloud castles Thats what i call them :D
Those Rolls Royce RB211 Engines sound beautiful! :D
Great video! :)
I always shut the window on take off. Once I'm at cruising altitude, I open it up and look at the clouds and land below. I don't know if this is a mental thing or not.
747 is some piece of sex
This is exactly what my energy is like everyday of my life. I was even like this when i was 6.
Which seat were you on?
GE CF6-80
I guess it's scary when the plane takes off because we all worry that it might take off at all. The only time I get scared during take off is when its raining or it rained and the runway is wet. I noticed that it takes longer to have the plane to speed up for take-off speed. I guess for a pilots view, landing is hard because you have to be aware of the crosswind that might occur. Plus high is the plane and how fast your going.
They look like Rolls Royce RB211s
its bit weird that its some passengers find it scary to take off but are ok with landing when thats the hard part
Take off is easy. It's the landing that's not.
Take off isnt my strong suite in flying it scares me
what are those engines?
san francisco... actually the airport is in millbrae theres a park right next to the airport called coyote point. i used to go there to see one of the most amazing achivements that humans have ever created..... once i took a girl to coyote point she broke up w me because obviously the planes had all my attention. ill never forget this city...
superb!
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and it is basically a day in a hundred when you don't get fog along the coastline from Santa Cruz all the way up north to Bodega Bay.
Cool, never been to Germany! :D
I do, and apparently you do as well considering you went out of your way to comment. Have a nice day!
Most likely to Frankfurt, Germany.
Where is the jet going?
@UN1TEDGAM3RS nice!
