Take a stroll with me in this beautiful community in Hardin County. It's small, tightknit, and quite cozy. Towards the end of the video, I was able to catch an Amish horse and buggy roll by. It was a pretty perfect way to wrap up recording. If you're from Upton, have been there or lived there, or want to share something you know about the city, please leave a comment. Visiting University of Kentucky

Well, I just BARELY visited UK because this school is massive!! Where should I go next to film? I'm clueless. I could really use some insights. Eventually, I'd like to film at least something at each college and university in Kentucky. So far, I've visited UK and Berea College, but as I said, this doesn't even count. I want to make a really cool video or a series of them at some point. #univers...

Progress passed this little town a long time ago.
My grandma, great aunt, and other family members lived or still live there. Haven’t been since there to visit since 1990’s. thanks for the walk around.

Lewis Co was a Union stronghold during the civil war, confederates were not tolerated, the people are still Lincoln Republicans and since the civil war have only once not voted for the GOP nominee for US President. 1872 they went for Democrat Tilden who ultimately supported Lincoln and the Union in the civil war. The GOP candidate that year had been an abolisionist during the war but ended support for Reconstruction and stopped the occupation of confederate areas.

When I was in my 20’s I used to drive to Stamping Ground. I thought that it was a nice little town. There was a small store owned by a very friendly lady that had an attractive blond haired daughter. Across the steet was a place like a drug store, but didn’t have a pharmacy. It was just over the counter health and beauty aids. I thought that the lady that owned it looked a lot like Elizebeth Montgomery when she appeared as her cousin on Bewitched. Next to that was some kind of ice cream shop, restaurant or something. I just remember going in there and getting a fountain Coke. I actually asked for a Cherry Coke. I guess two girls that were standing in the doorway was the owner’s daughters. One of them asked, what’s that a Coke that has never had sex before? I remember that the creek next to were the dollar general store is now was clear of trees and clean and sometimes people would stop there and fish. My wife and myself went to visit there a few weeks ago. I wanted to see if it was like the way that I remembered it. In my mind I pictured it as having grown to a bigger town. My heart dropped when I saw how it looks today. What happened to the pride of the community? Would it hurt for people to work together to clean it up and make it nice again.
I am excited to hear that most of the band is back together! How wild!!! I sang Honestly with a band behind me in my 6th grade talent show! ❤❤❤ I think of this often but haven’t in at least 10 years! This is a God Thing! ❤
Crater without Tim, they might as well play for sixth graders.
That was a laundromat
Oh, that makes sense now. A lot of the local said they’re clothes never looked better.
Again he said., "I choose the high road" being mad at Sue opper.. the high road? Sure....stoned (or was). What a piece of dung that clings to the gates of hell. Sue put this low life in its place. Under the jail.
Leslie had several mic drop moments during this monster's triall with many objections. ...calling this pos out on his stupidity. Love Leslie. I believe Leslie was the most sincere ..emotional one..but she pounced when it was time. I'll be back ...if ok...with examples...

I have never visited Columbus, Indiana. Many cities across the country are in bad shape downtown. In many cases they did it to themselves. In Columbus, I see that there are no parking meters. Also, there is no county or city sales taxes. The Commons appears to be a great part of keeping the city alive. I see no homeless people living in pup tents. The courthouse has to be a big part of the city's success. Yes, keeping the streets clean and maintained is a part of it as well. Business cash flow creates more business cash flow. 62% of all business in the United States is done with companies that have 5 to 500 people working there. This video did a great job of highlighting the city of Columbus, Indiana. And this was done on a Sunday!
I loved your comment!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make so many points and to articulate your points so perfectly. I totally agree with you. I think Columbus, IN, did it right. And you can really get a feel for a city on a Saturday or Sunday because then you don't usually have the City or County picking up after people. It's during weekend days that you really get a feel for how communities take care of themselves as well. I hope you subscribe to the channel. I'd also like to invite you to our websites SightsSoundsFlavors.com and ExploringKentucky.com
was it fun cause i live there
I really enjoyed it. Every time I go there, there's a festival. They have a lot of vintage car events. What do you like most about living in T'ville? And thanks for taking the time to leave such a great comment. I hope subscribe to the channel.
I remember going by it everyday in 1970’s & wondering what Gesu was! lol
It's a really beautiful church, but I think because of its place in downtown, it sort of insulated. The Miami Sun Hotel, across the street, has a come a long way. Also that part of downtown (after 5pm on weekdays) and most weekends, back in the day, was a ghost town. I'd like to see Gesu become more open to the public. It's a really nice church. Thanks for the comment. I hope you subscribe to the channel.
My current awful home lmao
What's it like there? I'm sure that home is what you make of it. It's not a bad area and there's plenty of businesses around. I just think the hotel has received somewhat of a mixed response from the community. I hope you subscribe to the channel.
@ it’s about what youd expect. Not as much drama or crime as there’s claimed to be. Never had any issues with anyone or management. Some buildings have a roach problem but no bedbugs thank god. You’re super close to the highlands so that’s nice. The only major police situations were some people who stole a car got raided by SWAT. And an individual died in a room but it was natural causes.
Thank you for posting this video! I was born here. And have family still living here! ❤️
Hyden is such a cool place. I loved the history and the people. Do you get to visit often? Thanks for the great comment. I hope you subscribe to the channel. I'd also love to invite you to our website ExploringKentucky.com
That would be incredible. I wonder if Stevie would sign my moms cpap machine?
I think a full TUFF reunion in 2025 could be liquid gold. I have no doubt Stevie's security would probably be ok with this happening. Darnell Watkins, who many believe would head Tuff Security, is a mighty cool guy.
I was there for 6 weeks as a Lions club fez... Don't remember much of the city except that it was hot! Miss my family, the Johnsons. Ben if you see this please reply!
I hope Ben sees this too. Parkersburg is a really cool city, full of history. When I went I don't recall if it was hot. I remember filming early morning and there wasn't a soul around. I'd like to film on a Friday night or a Saturday night. I hope you subscribe to the channel.
Vonnie’s sex appeal? He would attract confused people, maybe.

Born and raised in Danville, lived there over 20 years. One thing he failed to really highlight was the rampant drug use, and corrupt officials/ police
Christian is one of our best people, but we forwarded your comment to him
Hell yeah! Grand ledge is the best!
It’s such a cool place. I knew a family from Potterville that dreamt of living there. They worked hard and were able to make the move. That was in 1987 and to date the family has never left. GL is the promised land !!
So true it’s delicious
I crave it from Kentucky 😋
Any thing for views😠. this video is retarded! Kiss should not be in the same sentence as LED-ZEPPELIN. Ratt has always sucked. Ha ha 😂 good one you got me....
First you need to understand that the laws there are not the same as here. Second, there is not an ambassador from the US in DR. This government cancel and only have a person in charge of business nobody understand why US government did that.
I noticed there’s no ambassador. What a joke
@@SightsSoundsFlavors that's right, ever since Biden assumed the presidency of USA, they never named an ambassador in DR. I have no idea why is this.
I heard Robert Plant was not interested in reforming the band, and at one time Jimmy Page considered getting another vocalist. My choice would have been Stevie Rachelle. Legendary frontman of Classic 80's metal band TUFF.
it’s good you should come back one day and have it!
Brooksville is such a cool place. There’s so much happening downtown
oh yeah!!! my town
i think this whole video is tongue in cheek. it might actually be a down low diss on Bobby..
Back in 1987 my sister Cathy and her boyfriend Parker had it out on near the old Tower Records. Bobby passed by in his Ford Escort GT slowed down and told Parker to show respect to women. Parker was terrified. Everyone was like “that’s the drummer from RATT.”
I went to Red Cedar Elementary School for Grade 1, 1979-80. Our teacher was Ms Ringer. Would be great to connect with anyone who remembers her, or anyone that attended that year. My father did a sabbatical year from work in England, teaching vet science at MSU. I recall visits to Lake Lansing in the summer, the heavy snowfall in the winter, and visits to the community movie showings of Superman and the Empire Strikes Back when they were first released. Also have a memory of pizza restaurant that entertained customers with a giant Wurlitzer organ. Anyone recall the name of that place?
What a great comment!’
This is one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever heard. First, no Presence was not a crap album, it was actually very good and contains some of Bonham's best work. Second, they wouldn't have moved Bonham and any thought that they would is retarded. Finally, whoever wrote you that email is even dumber than you are. The two of you don't have three brain cells between you. Seriously, this video and the idea behind it are retarded.
Llegue a shelbyville en 2001 hasta 2010, mi hermosa ciudad con nativos bondadoso y pacificos. I love shelbyville
Que cool su comentario 🤗
Logans used to be a diner
When was that? So cool
@@SightsSoundsFlavors i was last there in 1998. It was a meat and three diner. You had your choice of one meat and three vegetables for $4.00,!! I got a pork chop, corn, mashed potatoes and peas!.There used to be a meat and three diner in Mumfordville too
A most of the Police in the DR are in fact “thugs in uniform”. The corruption is very evident, and they think that because they’ve got that glimpse of power that they could do whatever they want.
