I have had this saw since the 90's and it still goes strong. It uses more fuel than the other new models, but very reliable. When you have learned well to start a jonsered saws and you take care of it very well you have a strong little saw for a long, long time.

Did 3 - 375k to 372s over the winter.

Thats definitely a frankiensaw. Looks like a 257 top cover then the recoil isnt from the 257 261 or 262. Nice ripper for sure. I almost forgot to mention your primer bulb... i like this saw!!

Hey buddy im working on the same project, you gave me the inspiration. Did you happen to use a 046 big bore 54mm piston? I clearanced the flywheel and cut the cylinder skirt to fit in the case. Now, I'm just waiting on a piston. Hoping thats what you used because thats what i ordered😂

Finger ports are an art rather than a science, you’ve gotta really understand flow and how the motor works to get their full potential

Those finger ports are great, I made a longer video on them and they are an art form to get the size shape and number of them right especially how they feed VS standard transfers

Runs really good . Did you do any machine work to the cylinder.

They are decent. The plating seems to be better on the newer cylinders. The ex. Timing was 101⁰-100⁰ from the factory. The transfers were a touch low. Other than that, they make good power

How do you like the big bores? I’ve never found one that actually makes more power
