Texture mapping and disc speed are used during PS1 games. Smooth texture mapping draws the graphics more smoothly (for better looks). Fast disc speed will make those older games run faster (by reading twice as fast), but can have small side effects such as audio being sped up in Silent Hill. They're personal choices. I myself only had one PS1 game, and chose both Smooth and Fast with only a few issues. It varies from game to game, but will not harm anything. If unsure, leave them unchanged. As for the Diagnosis option, apparently this is a feature on models 30000-50000 that can help read discs that aren't working properly by "recalibrating" the disc laser. The system supposedly does this automatically when playback is struggling, but the option in the system menu lets you enable it manually by setting it to ON, then entering the Browser and selecting the inserted disc. I have never personally needed to use this setting, and didn't know what it did until five minutes ago. Hope this helps! :)

That's most likely an emulator, since the field next to Console is listed as Unknown. That's where your model number is displayed. Though looking at the Browser, CD Player, and PlayStation Driver fields, it might be a bios from a late fat or early slim model. My own bios from my fat model 39001 has Browser v1.20, CD Player v1.20, PlayStation Driver v1.10, and the DVD Player v2.12U.

I hooked mine up after about 10 years of sitting in a plastic storage container, so I could dump my bios and memory cards for use in PCSX2. I have an original fat model (scph-39001 from 2001 to be exact) and was a bit shocked that it still powered on and could read my memory cards. Sadly the first controller port stopped working so I had to use the second port to navigate the menus. This means it's cooked for playing games unless I go under the hood. When it started up, it gave me the first-time setup screen which froze me. I thought the system was done for, but it just means the battery that keeps the clock running died. It's great to know that it still turns on after almost 25 years. I have the ability to play most games in an emulator with my own bios and save data, but it'll be a sad day when the console dies.
