Allot of you fail to understand that this band were only starting out at this stage and had not developed a sizeable fan base in England the USA and elsewhere....so don't expect loads of NME reading teenagers to go apeshit mental at this point in time at their gigs...I mean so many of you don't bother to think about the "Reason why"...try think logically about things and not just post/rant the first enthusiastic thought in your head....

Wolf Alice remind me so much of the great late 80s "Thames Valley" Shoe gaze bands like Ride, Slowdive and Lush...( the over hyped "My Bloody Valentine" were too experimental and loud for my liking) .."Ride" were just a stunning band as were "Slowdive"

They are all great Musicians especially Joff and the Drummer...the bass player can be a bit of a clown at times but I'll forgive him for it....Ellie and Joff are both very deep introspective personalities which reflects on their writing and composing....Joff isn't just a one trick "Indie/ shoegaze" pony on the guitar...he's pretty good at old 1920s/30s "Piedmont Blues" finger picking guitar aswell..like Rev Gary Davis stuff...

He is an absolute legend. He does penetrate the soul. Because he was an empath. He lived his songs he lived who he was with no masks and it killed him. I get it. We artists who feel so deeply we absorb everything around us and sometimes there isnt enough room left in the sponge and so the saturation does us in. I have to squeeze that out through expression. Or im filled with confusion anxiety anger and every emotion I dont know how to handle. It’s a vision. Seeing things as they truly are in a world filled with deception. Thats why he penetrates the soul.
