@@Stpeteliving I thought about it overnight, but couldn't come up with anything specific that I wanted to know. I just thought that what you said might pique the interest of some retirees. For example, where one spouse required assisted living, and the other wanted a nearby small place. Or similar situation involving a parent.

The community is amazing and they keep up with the grounds and buildings so well. Glad you were able to visit!

@@Stpeteliving yes 👍🏾 and I love the school up the road at Monteverde Academy. Are there any other homes for sale in the back of the property? I’m looking to purchase in July hopefully rates decline!

@@AILLC exactly! I had a family buy in there mainly for that reason. For the. Ack of the property do you mean fronting Lake Apopka? They have a couple different buildings and options on sizes etc. Have you viewed any yet by chance?

@@Stpeteliving yes on Bella property I was in the back near the lake but I’ve only seen this content on this property so you have a website I can view. I use to live in Winter Garden but relocating back to the area to retire and send my kid to either Monteverde or another private school nearby? I’ve like to review any sites you can share with the for sale properties. Thanks 🙏🏽

Sounds like it wasn’t a good fit but unsure when you were last here. Definitely not boring unless you want mountains.

@@Stpeteliving we moved on 2.5.2022 at 9:31 am :). We found it very boring and just sleepy town. One friend I got to know there she called in (she’s lived there 12 yrs) a sleepy town where they just put lipstick on a pig and call it nice. That’s the best way to describe it, other than the pier and the beach drive area but a city should look nice beyond a few blocks

@@user-rs4ci3fn2d where did you end up that’s more to your liking? I’d say there ammount of museums, festivals, Vinoy park, most of Central Ave, art shows, baseball, soccer, boating, sailing, kayaking, big bike trails, beach volleyball, tons of breweries, and beach about 20 min drive max is pretty fun. But just me 🙃 Hope you found somewhere that fits you just right 🍻

@@Stpeteliving We left Florida. (Where we moved is not the topic) It’s not like other cities don’t have those things too, that you mentioned about the attractions of Saint Petersburg. What I’m commenting on is the realty of living there. It’s a dirty city it looks old beyond the few blocks that make up the nice area of downtown. I get it yiu like it, you need to promote it because you make money when people move there but I’m just giving others perspective of people who’ve lived there. We were excited to moved there paid 1000s to do so ( even happier to had paid 1000s to leave). After being harrased by so many homeless, wife refuses to walk to local Publix alone because they always harrased her. Dogs everywhere, my wife’s mom was bitten by a dog in a bar trying to go to the ladies room as several dogs were barking and got angry with each other and just started attacking. Dogs are everywhere because people there take them everywhere, bars, grocery stores , cafes Ect. The crime rate is crazy, everything beyond the few blocks downtown is dirty and outdated, food less than average ( and we love seafood). I’m big into gyms , only one “decent “ gym that’s way crowded the rest have old and rust equipment. It’s truly, beyond the nice few blocks of the strict downtown by the pier , is a time capsule of 1970s and sleepy ness, Sunday through Thursday all the breweries close by 9pm (maybe one stays open until 10). But to each their own.

Not sure where u lived…I’ve been here 25 years, and while not crazy about the climate, I’ve NEVER seen grunge, anywhere near downtown.. I’m in a middle income area, which is VERY clean, & I’m downtown 2X a week. A block on central, near 34Th St. Has a bus station & there are homeless hanging out there, and it is a bit unappealing, but that’s not downtown. New hi-rise condos under construction downtown are priced at 5.6 million, and many similar condos already exist. So, upkeep in the city, as a major tourist destination & extremely high-end residential area is definitely a priority. Be careful about parking tho, as it’s easy to get a $25 ticket with different parking zones. Overall I’d say the City is very responsive to any complaint about cleanliness, noice control, & code enforcement.

Yes St. Pete has a lot of local and smaller theater options as well.

How in the world did they “relocate” entire bungalos, especially back in the 1930’s??
