Race Dad Reviews
Канада
Добавлен 21 июн 2022
I'm a race dad, my son Phil is a Motorcycle Racer so I get to do lots of crazy things and I'm always having to buy kit to do jobs or fix stuff or solve a problem so I figured, after all my adventures I should share my thoughts and observations. There will be all sorts of random stuff in here, some 'how toos' some 'how not toos' and reviews of kit we have had to buy in pursuit of my son's motorcycle racing career, or just kit that I thought was a good idea at the time, or random thoughts on life as I drive around in our Vandrover! Please join our village for just $5 a month as a Patreon subscriber at www.patreon.com/PhilDeBeastRacing and get insider access to our life at the track and our travels in the pursuit of Phil's goal to represent Canada on the world stage. You can also help support Phil by going to our merch store www.etsy.com/shop/RaceDadReviews

Thx, appreciate your support
Very useful tutorial. Cheers!
Thank you, glad it was helpful
Just used your video to remove my streetfighter v2. Exactly the same. Cheers
@@chrisbowden9109 awesome, glad it was helpful and good to know
can u go more in depth on the tire setup and show it on film? curious if they are bought or built tires. ive built some and am always looking for input. he looked like he was gripping the whole time
Just uploaded a short video on what I know about the tires
I have also learned that leaving off your oil cap when you first crank it will prime it and allow the oil light to turn off. My 03 636 will keep its oil light on after every oil change unless I leave oil cap off for 10 seconds or so after cranking it. I used to do the filter burp but now just the oil cap off seems to do the trick.
which light was on? My Z750 has same dash, with oil can light on screen and flashing LED (same light as immobiliser) to the right. Ive got the constant flashing LED
Same light as immobilizer, if its low oil pressure then an oil can symbol will appear in the LCD screen to the left of the flashing light
More videos of this beauty please!!
Thank you. Tried this a few times. The light went off for a bit. And then came on the same day.
Looks awesome did you sale it?
Yes
Never a follow up
I still have that video on the editor, it was a very mixed experience, the tent itself was very well conceived but the execution on the first couple of batches was patchy, we ended up getting the cover and the tent fabric replaced by the manufacturer.
Congrats, that was fun to watch..
Thank you for taking the time to make this video.. I've been searching these for a few weeks.. May I ask, does it still work? I've seen some say they don't last long.. If it still works, how many track days have you used it for over the year? I mean, I can understand maybe having to get a new one each year. it would be worth the ease of filling the bikes up.. but if they only last a few months. idk Thanks for your time.
Hi, good question, our first one lasted a season and stopped working sometime over the winter. Given the low cost I wasn't too surprised but its worth getting a new one each year for the convenience.
Based on the instructions of the product, you are using it the wrong way. When riveting, the big bolt must be flush with the chain link and then you apply pressure to the riveter by rotating the smaller screw. BUT, because it's a cheap tool and to avoid damaging the threads of the smaller bolt, might be better to apply the pressure by rotating the big bolt like you did. I'm planning to do the same because I'm afraid the threads of the smaller bolt will strip.
For what i heard this bike is extremely uncomfortable, and imagine if theres a passenger 😂
Looking to by my first bike over a grom .. is this bike ok for that? Is it decent on the street ? What’s the range
The Ohvale bikes are designed for track use only, they are not street legal
@@racedadreviews well that’s a easy fix ( making it street legal) I was more concerned about the performance on the streets and the range etc , but thx I get your point . What’s a good first bike with sport like performance?
@@racedadreviewsI brought a ghost 305 from lyric cycle in Canada. It’s an electric moped with 65 plus mph .. just waiting for updated on production from them so I’m looking around for a bike in case i have to get a refund
As you have a Grom the next step up would likely be something like a Yamaha R3 or RC390, something like that.@@obeii1805
I don’t have a grom I’m looking for my first bike I didn’t want it to be a grom
Great video mate
Thank you for making this!
Um, why are people still standing there?
5 miles away , 60 miles per hour , the concern is real .
Red hat was the only mf with common sense😂
Yall in the Midwest are wild to me 😂 everyone's watching that tornado likes its a firework show and not a tornado
LOL it's so true though
Not saying we're right or nothing, but you'd get it if you saw one in person
Would love to see how you removed the ABS pump when you get around to it
super useful video thanks for sharing!
Any updates on this tent? What do "adventures" mean; before I shell out $2000? Cheers,
Hi, to be honest we had a bunch of issues (now potentially resolved). The cover was too tight and couldn't be fastened down in warm weather, they replaced the cover but the new one was no better, replaced again and this one works ok (new version). First time it rained we found out the tent was not waterproof, they sent proofing spray, this didnt help, tent went back to BAT for 'reproofing' havent tried it out yet (havent even fitted it yet). So from our perspective; it worked mostly as we only experienced rain twice and had tarps with us to cover it up, but it didn,t work as expected and was generally disappointing and a bunch of hassle.
@@racedadreviews Thanks for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated,
@@racedadreviews I just replaced the crappy cloth cover with a rubberized cover, it's still a tight fit. I was pretty annoyed I had to pay full price for it after I tried reaching out to BAT about the cloth cover not being waterproof.
@@khantra4568 I will be making another video about how this tent performed over the year, our experience with the cover seems to have been the same as yours
Nice, keep it up
But how comfortable is it? How did you set the ladder up?
Part two with that info and more coming up shortly
@@racedadreviews Any preview? There’s an XL MOLLE locally that’s unused at a very good price. Yea/Nay?
@@swooshdave find out when it was made, ours was an early one and we have had some 'adventures' with it
@@racedadreviews 2022. Delivered in January I believe.
I’m leaning towards the Inspired Overland as I know what I’ll be getting and I’m ok I’d it’s smaller and lighter. From what I can tell yours is the only review video I’ve ever seen of the Badass, which is weird.

Beautiful bike
What you talking about nearly? You still had another 2.2 feet before it was nearly.. You wanna see nearly, stand on the outside of the track..
I have learned not to stand on the outside of the corner when the boys are on the ice
@@racedadreviews So have I, after I did a go kart race and some fool stuck me on the outside of turn 1.. The very first heat, I see these karts coming at me doing 100kph down the first straight easy all fighting for position and I'm thinking, "this isn't safe.." and sure enough two karts lock and start skidding and the inside kart gets thrown right off the track over the outside kart and right at my head.. I dropped to the ground and I'm laying there on my back looking up at buddy and he's looking down at me as he's flying over me.. He lands on his tires.. All I can hear is my friend who was working with me that day screaming, "JAY!!!" over my headset after all the screeching cause from their perspective the Kart did take me out.. After that I took charge of track safety and made all the flag men stand on the inside of the track lol. The guy that put me on the outside didn't even raise a peep in protest cause he realized how bad he messed up.
