I would not say it is geared for older people. It is geared for people who love nature and tourists who have never seen alaska. You would get more older tourist as they have jobs and love quieter holidays.

I love Homer and visiting areas across Kachemak Bay. Halibut Cove was the first trip to Homer several years ago so it's a warm place in my heart. I always take Mako's water taxi. Great local business. It's always cool to meet other Anchorage peeps who enjoy exploring the state. Eek, my anxiety was high with y'all leaving the kayaks there at the Saddle Trail without being tied up. I've seen the high tide reach the bottom of the stairs multiple times. And you didn't put it near the stairs so you could pull the rope to the stairs and hop in. You were very lucky. Seriously. Kachemak Bay mussels are safe to eat because it's monitored by the DEC but that's not the case everywhere in the state for shellfish especially in Southeast Alaska. I just want to make sure others don't try this in Juneau or Ketchikan and get hospitalized and very sick. I looked at the Coho Cabana with Homestead Hideaways and it's a minimum of 3-night stay with up to 6 adults. It looks cozy. Plus, it has a shower and inside toilet. Also, your Instagram link in RUclips doesn't work. The "t" in adventures is missing or it gives an error when you click it.

The crazy thing is, you SHOWED US the instructions for eating Vegemite!!! It said LIGHTLY use, WITH BUTTER. You put on HEAPS with NO BUTTER. If you've been eating it for twenty years or more, sure, you can put that much Vegemite on a bread roll but for goodness' sake -- if you're trying a local delicacy, get a local to show you how it's done. I was in Portland, OR, at an Australian-run coffee shop called Proud Mary. They have Vegemite on toast and a local couple were at my table, watching me eat it. I asked if they wanted to try it - he was too scared but she was feeling brave - so I cut off a corner of my toast, put some butter and a TINY bit of Vegemite on there, and passed it over. She loved it. I gave some to her man, and he loved it. Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey. I hope while you're travelling you let the locals show you what's what.
